Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.

REFLECTION
Our verse today changes how we see every task- paid work, chores, caregiving, serving or even small jobs. It teaches us that all “work can be worship to God.” Cooking, cleaning, teaching, helping a neighbor, when done in a right heart toward becomes a worship to him. So, let us work with excellence, honesty and energy. We aren’t to impress people, get praise or avoid criticism but because God sees us and values our every effort. This motivates us to work diligently, even unappreciated, and also frees us from burning out knowing that our Lord is watching us.
It says also that we should work with all our hearts. This means doing our best with integrity, joy and care- not rushing. It means bringing our true self, skills and effort as if Jesus is our supervisor. So, let’s start each day by saying: Lord, I do this for you today! Let’s work!

PRAYER
Our Loving God, whatever we do today- big or small, seen or unseen, help us to doit with all our hearts as if working for you. Free us from wanting praise. Let our work honor you and give us strength and joy to serve you faithfully. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

3 John 2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health, and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

REFLECTION
From the moment we are born, we begin to die. This is the natural progression of life. But maintaining a healthy lifestyle plays a big role in how we will live, as well as the quality of our life. This is why it is important to take good care of our bodies, getting plenty of rest, healthy food, water, exercise. It also includes abstaining from drugs, alcohol and to***co. But in addition to these basic needs, we need to take care of our spiritual life. The best way is to spend time each day in our God’s presence, meditating his holy Word.
Communicating with our loving God gives us the wisdom, comfort, strength and direction we need to face daily. Without our Lord Jesus, our life is but an emptiness, without real joy and purpose. In Psalms 73:26 says, “My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains my strength. He is mine forever.” We see that our bodies won’t last forever here on earth. But because of our Lord Jesus’ death on the cross, we have the opportunity to spend eternity in heaven with a new body. Let us be mindful today to keep our spiritual life healthy by walking with our Creator daily.

PRAYER
Lord, we thank you for the life you have given to us. We lift ourselves asking that You will work in every area of our lives. We pray that you grant us wholeness and good health of our bodies. We ask this with thanksgiving and believing that you hear and answer our prayer. In Christ’s name, Amen.

1 PETER 3:8-9 Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult.

REFLECTION
Everyone needs to feel loved, wanted and accepted. Our Creator made us that way. We are created to have families and to love and take care of each other. Without the sense of belonging to a family, there is a feeling of emptiness and loss- as if there were no purpose of living.
Many are alone in our world, with no one to call and say, “I’d arrived safe,” or “I’ll be late tonight, please don’t worry for me.” Some have families that are not healthy or dysfunctional. And others are lonely because their family members had passed away.
Our good news is, God has given us a spiritual family to love, support and help us draw near to Hi more (1 Peter 3:8-9a). In Psalm 133:1, “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” and in Hebrews 10:25 declares, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” This is a blessing for us to have a family- the church.

PRAYER
We thank you Lord for your Word that teaches us how to live as family. Help each of us to live in harmony with one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. Fill us also with brotherly love, that we may care for others genuinely and deeply. Lastly Lord, we pray to remove all pride, selfishness and division from us, your Living Water WMC. May you be glorified in all we do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Romans 4:2-3 NIV

" If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Romans 4:22-25 NIV

" This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification."
