OCTOBER 2, 2026

“The king contributed from his own possessions for the morning and evening burnt offerings and for the burnt offerings on the Sabbaths, at the New Moons and at the appointed festivals, as written in the Law of the LORD.” — 2 Chronicles 31:3 (NIV)

REFLECTION:
Our verse today shows us a spiritual renewal under King Hezekiah. The people had returned to the worship of God, and the king himself demonstrated that true worship is not just expressed through words. It is also expressed through generous stewardship. What is notable is the phrase “from his own possessions.” Hezekiah did not simply tell others to give. He personally participated in giving.
His leadership demonstrated that stewardship begins when we understand that everything we possess belongs to God. King Hezekiah’s contribution supported the sacrifices offered to God. His giving was worship. Our giving should not be viewed merely as meeting financial needs or maintaining church programs. Giving is an expression of our worship and gratitude to God.
Hezekiah did not merely instruct the people to support worship; he led by example. This is an important principle for families and churches. Our example can teach more powerfully than our words. When children see generosity, when church members see sacrificial service, and when leaders practice faithful stewardship, others learn that giving is a natural response to God’s grace. We should not only teach generosity—we should demonstrate it. We give because we recognize what God has already given us.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for everything You have entrusted to me. Teach me to be a faithful and generous steward. Help me to give with joy, serve with humility, and manage my resources wisely for Your glory. May my life and everything I possess become an offering of worship to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the LORD his God, and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.” — 2 Chronicles 26:16 (NIV)

Reflection:
Uzziah began his reign with great success. God helped him become strong, prosperous, and influential. Yet when he became powerful, something changed within him: his strength became a source of pride. The blessing that should have drawn him closer to God became an opportunity for him to trust himself.
Our verse reminds us that success can be dangerous to us than failure. When we are struggling, we often recognize our need for God. But when life becomes comfortable and accomplishments increase, we may slowly begin to believe that we can manage without Him. Pride begins when we forget God. Uzziah became powerful, but he forgot that his power was bestowed by God. Whatever we have—our abilities, opportunities, ministry, family, possessions, or accomplishments—should lead us to say, “Thank You, Lord,” rather than “Look what I have done.”
Our verse is a serious warning: sometimes the season immediately following our greatest victories can become a season of spiritual weakness. Therefore, after every victory, we should pray: “Lord, keep me humble. Do not allow Your blessings to make me forget You.” God gives us strength, but only humility can help us handle that strength faithfully.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for every blessing, opportunity, and success You have given me. Guard my heart from pride and keep me from forgetting that everything I have comes from You. Help me remain humble, obedient, and dependent on You, especially when life is going well. May my blessings draw me closer to You rather than farther away. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“He walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for Ahab’s daughter was his wife; and he did what was evil in the sight of the LORD.” — 2 Chronicles 21:6

REFLECTION
Jehoram became king of Judah, but instead of following the godly example of his father Jehoshaphat, he followed the sinful ways of Ahab’s family. His choices remind us that the people closest to us can influence the direction of our lives. But we are still responsible for the choices we make. Our verse teaches us that wrong relationships can lead to wrong decisions.
Jehoram allowed his connection with Ahab’s family to influence his values, leadership, and worship. What began as a relationship then affected his spiritual life. This is warning for us: we can be surrounded by godly people and still choose ungodliness. Or we can be surrounded by ungodly influences and choose to remain faithful to God. Our environment matters, but our heart decides whom we will follow. We should therefore examine our relationships, influences, habits, and decisions. Are they drawing us closer to God or slowly pulling us away from Him?
Sometimes spiritual decline does not happen suddenly. It happens through small compromises that we repeatedly allow. Let us not sacrifice our relationship with God just to please people or maintain relationships. Let us choose friendships and influences that strengthen our faith, and have the courage to say no when something leads us away from God.

PRAYER
Our Loving Lord, help me to guard my heart and choose my relationships wisely. Give me wisdom to recognize influences that can pull me away from You. Help me remain faithful even when others choose a different path. May my decisions, relationships, and life always honor You. Bless me, Lord, today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” — 2 Chronicles 16:9
REFLECTION
Our verse declares comfort about the character of God: God is actively looking for people whose hearts are completely surrendered to Him. He is not just watching us from a distance. His eyes are searching, His attention is focused, and His desire is to strengthen those who trust Him.
What had before our verse. King Asa had previously experienced God’s help when Judah faced a powerful enemy. But later, instead of depending on the Lord, Asa relied on a political alliance. The prophet Hanani reminded him that God had already demonstrated His power and that Asa’s heart should have remained dependent upon Him. This challenges us because past victories can sometimes make us forget God who gave them. We may begin our journey trusting God, but when another crisis comes, we turn immediately to our own resources, connections, money, abilities, or plans.
Yet our verse today says that God’ss eyes are searching for hearts that are fully committed. A heart fully committed to God does not mean a person never becomes afraid, confused, or weak. It means that when fear comes, we still turn toward God; when circumstances are uncertain, we still trust Him; and when we do not understand His ways, we still choose obedience. God is looking for surrendered hearts. There is also a beautiful promise here: “to strengthen those.” Remember: “The God who sees us is also the God who strengthens us.”

PRAYER
Lord, search my heart and help me become fully committed to You. Forgive me for the times I depend on my own strength instead of trusting You. When I am weak, strengthen me; when I am afraid, give me courage; and when I do not understand, help me remain faithful. May my heart always turn toward You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Then Asa called to the LORD his God and said, “LORD, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name, we have come against this vast army. LORD, you are our God; do not let mere mortals prevail against you." (2 Chronicles 14:11 NIV)

REFLECTION
King Asa faced an enemy far greater than his army. His situation appeared hopeless. Yet Asa did not allow this problem to become greater than his God. His prayer begins with a beautiful declaration: God is not limited by human strength or human weakness. Asa understood that victory does not depend upon how many people stand with us, how much resources we have, or how powerful our circumstances appear. God can save “with many” or “with them that have no power.”
This challenges us because we often measure our possibilities by what we can see. When the problem is large, we become afraid. When our resources are small, we become discouraged. When we feel alone, we begin to think that we cannot continue. But our verse teaches us to look beyond the size of the battle and look to the greatness of our God.
Let our faith recognizes God’s unlimited power. Asa said, “Lord, there is no one like you to help.” What seems impossible to us is not impossible for God. Our weakness does not weaken Him. Our lack does not create a lack in Him. Sometimes God allows us to face situations that are beyond our ability so that we will discover that His ability is greater than ours.
Let us admit our need to our God. Asa honestly prayed: “Help us, O LORD our God.” There is no shame in asking God for help. In fact, recognizing our dependence upon Him is an expression of faith. Prayer begins when self-reliance ends. We do not need to pretend that we are strong when we are weak. We do not need to hide our fears from God. We can come before Him honestly and say, “Lord, I need You.”
When we face a situation that appears bigger than your strength, remember Asa’s prayer: “Lord, You are greater than my problem.”

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I confess that there are times when my problems seem greater than my strength; teach me to trust You as Asa did. Help me not to depend upon my own ability, but to rest completely upon Your power and faithfulness. When I am weak, remind me that You are strong. Give me courage to move forward in faith, knowing that You are with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"HAVE FAITH IN GOD"

KEY LESSONS:

1. FAITH AS TRUST - Anchor your trust in God.
Believe even when things are unclear. True faith is not about your own strength — it is trusting God’s character, power, goodness, and promises.

2. FAITH AS FOCUS - Focus on God, not just the problems.
When God answers prayer, do not fixate only on the miracle.
Remember: it is His work. Keep your eyes on Him, not just on what He does.

3.FAITH AS ACTION - Living according to values and purspose.

What seems impossible becomes possible when you:
- Trust Jesus
- Believe His Word
- Obey Him
- Pray in faith
- Do what He commands

The message of life by Ptr. Remi
What Is God Finding in My Life?

Luke 13:6-9

Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’
“‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’”

1. LOOK INWARD — The Call to Repentance
Jesus teaches us to examine our own hearts, not just focus on what happens around us. Seeing our faults is hard, but the Holy Spirit leads us to repentance. Repentance means turning toward God — it is the first step to fruitfulness, and it begins with humility.

2. BEAR FRUIT — God’s Expectation for Us
Christ calls us to live fruitful lives marked by the Holy Spirit’s work:

- Love

- Forgiveness

- Humility

- Patience

- Self-control

All to honor God. If we are spiritually alive yet bear no fruit, something is missing in our walk with Him.

3. IDENTIFY HINDRANCES — What Blocks Growth?

These things create impurity and stop me from bearing fruit:

- Pride and bitterness

- Lust and laziness

- Unforgiveness

- Being defensive about my weaknesses

Clinging to these keeps me from becoming who God created me to be.

4. RESPOND IN FAITH — The Path Forward

I choose to turn away from what holds me back. By God’s grace, I will let go of pride, yield my weaknesses to Him, and walk in humility — so my life may bear genuine, lasting fruit that glorifies Him.
