The message of Life by Rev. Pastor Remi

"No Excuse before God"

Romans 2:9-11

There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.

To God be the Highest Glory! 🙌✨️

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household.

REFLECTION
We have a lesson to learn from Noah- whether we are fathers, mothers, brothers or sons. Noah TRUSTED GOD, believed God’s warnings and obeyed his commands. As a result, Noah able to save his entire family from destruction of the flood that came as promised.
Let us take note that Noah was warned by God, but e was warned about thigs that he himself not yet seen. This is faith comes in. when we able to trust what our kind God has told us in his Word- even when it contradicts whatever around us is proclaiming or what our experience has been- it is then that we truly walk by faith.
Those who listen to God’s Word and obey it by fait prepare for the destruction and judgment that are coming in our world. Those also around us are positively affected and being influenced by our faith that they see. Like Noah let us be moved by a reverent fear of God, accepting God’s warning, obeying his Word that our life and our family will be saved.

PRAYER
We adore you today Lord for your reminder in your Word. Lord, we pray to strengthen our trust and faith in you, especially what is happening now in this world we live in. May you continue to bless us with healthy mind and body today onwards. In Christ’s name, Amen.

He said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43

REFLECTION
In one of the darkest hours of human history, we find the One who is suffering is thinking of others. A lesson we learn as we look to Jesus on the cross is this: thinking others in the midst of our own suffering.
On the cross, Jesus our Lord was not only bearing the wounds from beating, slapping and crucifixion—he was bearing all our sins and the wrath of God for us. There can be no words to describe the misery of our Lord. Unexpected to see one of the thieves crucified to Him and ask for a place in his kingdom. Our Lord who was suffering so much turn to the thief and spoke to him words of comfort: “Today you will be with me in paradise.” Jesus can think of others at the time of his struggle. He helped and encouraged while hanging on the cross. Then, we can also minister to others in the midst of our own pain or grief or even loss.
Are we struggling with difficulty or sorrow? Then we can look to Jesus on the cross. He has the words of comfort, but his example is a model for us to follow. May looking to our Lord take off our eyes on ourselves and be inspired to reach those around us.

PRAYER
Our heavenly Father, we are grateful for your reminder not to focus on ourselves, our circumstances but also look around and be mindful of others. Thank you, Lord for always thinking of us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Esther 4:16 Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.

REFLECTION
The life of Esther nis one of the most extraordinary in the Bible. A rag-to-riches story, she was removed out of obscure life, chosen to be queen, and then faced with one of the most difficult choices she had to make.
Esther was a Jew, one of God’s chosen people, her husband did not know it. With the king’s consent, a decree was made all over the land that every Jew was to be killed. Esther was faced with a choice; she could either stand up for her people or not. To stand up means revealing her true ethnic identity and also approaching the king uncalled… an offense punishable by death.
She had made up her choice: “If I perish, I perish.” This is a willingness to do whatever it takes no matter what the personal cost. God was not mentioned in this book, but his fingerprints are all over. It was God who allowed Esther to become queen and the same God who gave favor in the sight of the king and God empowered her to save his people.
Like Esther we must be willing t lay down our pride and our concern of self-preservation and be willing to serve our Lord God no matter what the cost.

PRAYER
Our loving Father, you are truly concern with your people and most of all You are in control of everything and all things happening. Thank you for always standing up for us, your church. We entrust our life into your mighty hands. Hold us up , Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the Lord forever, because in the Lord, the Lord himself, is an everlasting rock!

REFLECTION
Is our heart searching for sure? For unmovable? For eternal? Our verse invites us to rest in the never ending faithfulness of our kind God: Trust in the Lord forever; for in the Lord is everlasting strength. Prophet Isaiah wrote this to give courage and strength God’s people in the exile, unsure of what would happen. He reminded them of the unchanging Rock, our Lord God.
For us today, our verse offers an encouragement, even as our world shifts or changes, our faithful God is our everlasting Rock. Let us draw near to him through every circumstance. In his strength, there is peace for our worrying heart and hope that cannot be crushed, today and tomorrow and forever. Rock of ages, never shaken! As an anonymous writes, “Trusting Him, we find quiet strength- an everlasting anchor for trembling souls.”

PRAYER
Our Lord and God, you are our Rock eternal- unchanging and unshakable. Teach us to trust you completely, Lord. When doubt and fear surround us, when trials are heavy for us, help us to lean on your faithfulness. We praise you for being our eternal Rock- worthy of our trust, all of our love and our devotion. In Christ’s name, Amen.

1st Sunday of March – Youth Fellowship 💛

The Message of Life by Sis. Steffanie.

Today’s reminder is about Forgiveness.

📖 Matthew 6:14–15 — “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

We all have a choice: Forgive or not to forgive.

Forgiveness is not always easy, but it sets our hearts free and brings us closer to God. Let’s choose grace. Let’s choose to forgive. ✨

Palm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

REFLECTION
How good is your vision? Can you see accurately up to 20 feet? Or maybe 50? Study tells us that only 35% of adults have 20/20 vision without correction lens, but maybe you are among the blessed. Even so, can you see the future? What about tomorrow? Are you able to see the possible outcome of any given choice?
When we consider our limitations of our vision, we come to realize what is being offered to by our kind God. Our verse today says that God promises to instruct and teach us in the way we should go through his perfect, all-seeing and all-knowing eyes as our guide. Our God who knows all offers to leads us.
If we are in the middle where difficult to decide, know that God’s perfect wisdom and vision is available to us; it is only a prayer away. Our verse above gives us the guarantee: “I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” God is watching us.

PRAYER
Thank you, Lord, for your deep concern to us. Your desire for us is always the best. You are only waiting for us to draw near and surrender to you. Lord, continue to be gracious and merciful to us your church. In Christ’s mighty name we pray. Amen.

"We Are The Children of The Promise"

Galatians 4:28-29 NIV

"Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now."

Whoever believes in the So has eternal life, whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him (John3:36).

REFLECTION
We don’t like to think about death. The very truth is that many of us engage in effort to prolong our life and escape death. But death is all around us, and we ourselves are getting closer to death every day.
Our inclination is to find ways to save ourselves from it. We may exercise regularly, have a good diet, and even dress in fashion. These things may temporarily make us feel better; they do not solve our problem about death.
The Bible tells us that as long as we are seeking to save ourselves, we will not see what the real life is all about. As we postpone submission to our Lord Jesus Christ and his claims upon on our lives, we will not see life. To escape death is look (BELIEVE) to Jesus as the Way, Truth and the Life. We are promised to have everlasting life, not just escaping death.

PRAYER
Lord, thank you for the life you have given us. We are enjoying this life because we have our Lord Jesus who gives flavor to it. Thak you for saving us from death because of our sin. We are truly blessed because we have you Lord. We praise you.

I can do everything through him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13)

REFLECTION
It is not uncommon to us to experience to run up against things that are bigger than we are. They are simply we cannot overcome or solve with our own strength. It may be a lust (to the eye/ flesh) that threatens us, an addiction, or anger that is growing inside, or a sorrow within. We tell ourselves we can do it, if we just try hard enough. Is not that what being a good Christian?
Our verse today says that even apostle Paul admitted that his strength does not come from himself, or from his own will power. He is not trying to do it on his own. Rather, he is looking to our Lord Jesus for the power and deliverance he needs.
Through our Lord Jesus, we can make through every trials. Through him, we can overcome temptations. Through him, we can rise above grief or sorrow or anger. There is nothing we cannot do through the strength our Lord has promised to us. Let us turn to him and find ourselves the confidence, the joy, the strength found in Christ alone. Amen!

PRAYER
Our Loving Lord, we thank you for Jesus! We can find strength, power in him. And through him, we can do all things. We praise you for this promise. Be glorified Lord as we find our strength in you alone. We thank in Christ’s precious name, Amen!
