"As we enter into the new quadrennium, let us all be guided by our quadrennial theme, "๐—ช๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ธ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐—๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜‚๐˜€." As a way of welcoming the new quadrennium, our theme for the ecclesiastical year 2026-27 is "๐—ช๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ธ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐—๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜‚๐˜€: ๐—๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜†๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—”๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—บ."
The ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ฎ (Hebrew for "bowed down," "poor," "humble") in the Bible refers to the marginalized, oppressed, and socio-economically vulnerable who remain faithful to God, placing total trust in Him for deliverance, not worldly wealth. The ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ฎ is the biblical term for the poor, marginalized, oppressed, and humble ones who solely depend on God. This theme primarily calls us to live a life of discipleship, living out Christโ€™s teachings, striving to embody His love, justice, and compassion, that is, embracing and emulating His mission perspective. It also enjoins us to accompany those who are poor, the humble, and the marginalized in our society."
