❔WHO IS SULPICIO MUÑASQUE?

The late Reverend Sulpicio Muñasque (d. Sept. 7, 1965) was a pioneer and prominent resident of General Santos City from 1948 until his passing. He was among the earliest members of Dadiangas UCCP Church (now Gensan UCCP City Central Church, Inc.) and faithfully served as a pastor, tirelessly preaching the gospel—not only to the congregation, but to the wider community.

During the Japanese occupation, Rev. Muñasque was even used by God to save the life of Mr. Ponciano Odal, another pioneering church member. His life testified to the Christian faith—not just in words, but in faithful practice.

Through the initiative of the Church Council and the favorable recommendation of the Barangay Council of Dadiangas West, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, during its 45th Regular Session, passed Ordinance No. 13, Series of 1996, officially renaming Anonas Street to Sulpicio Muñasque Street.

The old Anonas tree that once stood on the church grounds is long gone. In its place of purpose now stands a newly erected street marker—bearing a legacy of faith and faithfulness worthy of remembrance by every generation.

Street names tell stories. This one tells a story worth honoring.

🙏 Prayer for Christian Unity and the Next Generation.

GRACIOUS AND ALMIGHTY GOD,
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name—

We come before You as one body, redeemed by one Savior,
confessing that our unity is not our achievement, but Your gift.
You have called us into one faith, one hope, one baptism,
and one Lord who reigns over all.

LORD, forgive us for the times we have allowed preference to divide us, comfort to silence us,
and convenience to weaken our witness.
Cleanse Your Church, and draw us back to the unity of the Spirit
in the bond of peace.

Today, as Your church in the Philippines,
we offer ourselves anew to You.
In a nation shaped by faith, tested by hardship, and rich in hope,
make us a people who stand united in truth and love—
a church that lives not only for today,
but for generations yet to come.

Teach us, O God, to commend Your works to the next generation.
Help us to model a faith that trusts Jesus fully,
obeys Him faithfully, and prioritizes Him above all else.
May our unity become the soil where future disciples take root,
and may our faith today become their strength tomorrow.

We lift before You the global Church—
our brothers and sisters across nations and cultures,
especially those who worship in secret,
those who serve under threat,
those who proclaim Christ in places of war,
persecution, and suffering.
Strengthen missionaries who labor unseen,
protect those who bear the name of Jesus at great cost,
and remind them that they are not alone.

LORD JESUS, You prayed that we would be one
so that the world would believe.
Make Your prayer a living reality among us.
Let our unity shine brighter than our differences,
our love louder than our divisions,
and our hope stronger than fear.

Long after our songs fade,
long after our names are forgotten,
long after our seats are filled by others—
O LORD, may our faith still speak, unbroken.

We offer this prayer in the Name of JESUS CHRIST,
the Head of the Church,
the Hope of the nations,
and the Lord of all generations.

Amen. ✝️

📖 This January, we joyfully join the whole nation in celebrating with the theme:
⭐️"God's Word brings LIFE to our Hearts and to our Homes."

We praise God for the Bible, His living and active Word that speaks hope to weary hearts, wisdom to our daily decisions, and peace to our families. In a world filled with noise and uncertainty, God's Word remains our sure foundation, guiding our homes to be places of faith, love, and obedience to Christ.
As a church family, let us commit to reading, meditating on, living out, and sharing the Word of God, not only within the walls of the church but in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT 2025, 21 DEC 2025

What a joyful and grace-filled night as we proclaimed the Good News of Christmas—that Jesus Christ, our Savior, is born!

To all our musicians, choirs, soloists, technical team, trainers, and directors —thank you for offering your gifts in worship and excellence. To the church family and guests who joined us, thank you for celebrating with us and sharing in this joyful proclamation.

Above all, all glory belongs to God, who used music, praise, and fellowship to point hearts to Christ. May the message of Emmanuel—God with us—continue to resonate in our lives beyond this season. ✝️🙌⭐

🫰 Our CYFers actively participated in the recently concluded
SRF Christian Youth Fellowship Annual Christmas Convention 2025 last Dec. 28-30, at Prayer Mountain, GSC, with the theme:
Become a True Follower of Christ! ✝️🌱

It was a powerful time of learning, worship, fun, and spiritual renewal, reminding our Youth of the call to abide in Christ, be rooted in His Word, and live out authentic discipleship.

We praise God for His work in their hearts, and for the leaders, speakers, and the officers who faithfully served; also, for all the parents who supported their young people to be part of this convergence.

Praise the Lord Jesus for His great and mighty works! 🙌❤️

✨ Christmas is MERRY because of JESUS! ✨

We give thanks to the LORD for the beautiful message of Christmas—Emmanuel, God with us—and for the blessed success of our growing Katangawan Outreach Ministry Christmas Fellowship last Dec. 27. What a joy to witness lives touched by God’s love, hope renewed, and hearts reminded of the true reason for the season: JESUS CHRIST, our Savior and Lord!

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the whole church family, our generous donors and partners, and everyone who gave their time, prayers, and resources. Your faithfulness made this fellowship possible and meaningful.

To God be the glory—now and always! 🙌
