Palm Sunday marks the beginning of the holy week, commemorating the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem riding a donkey, while the crowd waved and laid their palms across the road—signifying honor to Jesus as peaceful King and Messiah.

Palm Sunday is the blessing and procession of palms—which will be taken home afterward, serving as sacramentals. Thus, the palm will be preserved and burned for the next Ash Wednesday.

As we venture on the sacred journey of the holy week, may it be filled with faith, hope, and spiritual renewal. Having the palm reminds us to be humble yet victorious, remembering Jesus’ passion, crucifixion, and victory.

On this year, the Catholic Youth Ministry of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish hold its Annual Summer Youth Camp on break, giving way to the Passionist Jubilee Youth Camp, which will be held at Notre Dame of Surallah, Inc, on May 22-23, 2026.

In an official announcement, the Camp will be participated in by youths from different parishes and groups under Passionist, comprising Holy Cross Parish, St. Gabriel Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish, Notre Dame of Surala, Inc., Catholic Mission to the Indigenous People, Passionist Technological Institute, Inc., and Passionist Youth.

Moreover, each parish was given three hundred slots of youth participants. The CYM of OLPGV Parish promptly initiated to divide the slots into fifteen youths per GKK.

Youths are encouraged to join the Passionist Jubilee Youth Camp, listing of participants is through zone officers.

From February 27, 2026, to March 1, 2026, the Catholic Youth Ministry of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish recently conducted a three-day leadership training course. This is to enrich the relationship with God while refining the leadership skills, and unraveling the potential of young leaders of respective zones and GKKs, held at Blessed Pio Retreat House, Kinilis, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

Included among the completers of the Youth Leadership Training Course (YLTC) Batch 24 are Charize Bernal and Julie Anne Dagoplo, young leaders of Zone 2—Point of Destination. They bravely took up their cross, conquered every challenges, and followed the walk of Jesus, bringing with them the wisdom which unlocked their limitless capabilities.

Simbang Gabi, or "Night Mass," is a cherished nine-day Catholic tradition in the Philippines, serving as a spiritual preparation for Christmas and a beautiful expression of our faith and devotion to Our Lord Jesus Christ. As the Church is a house of prayer and the dwelling of the Holy Spirit, it must be treated with reverence and respect, especially during Holy Mass. We are called to come with humble hearts, wearing modest attire that honors the sanctity of the Eucharist and the sacred space—this is not a fashion show, but a time for prayer and reflection. Remember, what truly matters is your sincere devotion and love for God, and all are welcome—regardless of their circumstances—because the Church invites everyone to encounter Christ’s grace through prayer and community.
