Today, we thank God for your life, your faithful service, and your commitment to His ministry. Your willingness to serve the church and care for God’s people is truly a blessing and an inspiration to many. May the Lord continue to strengthen you, guide you with wisdom, and fill your heart with joy as you faithfully fulfill the work He has entrusted to you.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲! 🤍

In a world full of distractions, busy schedules, and endless worries, may we always remember to place Jesus at the center of our lives. The Sabbath is God’s loving invitation to pause, rest, worship, and reconnect with Him. 🌿

It is not just another weekend,
it is a sacred reminder that we are deeply loved, cared for, and sustained by our Creator. As we gather in worship, may our hearts be renewed, our faith strengthened, and our spirits filled with His peace.

Whatever battles you faced this week, bring them to Jesus. Whatever burdens you carry, lay them at His feet. He is faithful, merciful, and always near to those who seek Him. 🤍

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗱. ⏸️
𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗦𝗔𝗕𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗛! 🙌

A sacred boundary where the work stops, the worship begins, and the soul finds its way back to the Creator.
Sabbath is God's way of saying:
"Stop running, stop striving. Just breathe, and remember that I am your God." Let go of the week's burdens and step into His peace this Sabbath day.

"God saw that a Sabbath was essential for man, even in Paradise. He needed to lay aside his own interests and pursuits for one day of the seven, that he might more fully contemplate the works of God and meditate upon His power and goodness. He needed a Sabbath to remind him more vividly of God and to awaken gratitude because all that he enjoyed and possessed came from the beneficent hand of the Creator."

𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙈𝙀: "𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙠𝙞𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨."

Our hearts are overflowing with joy and gratitude as we look back on the incredible culmination of
Vacation Bible School 2026 | Cactusville!

Throughout the unforgettable week (May 04-08),
our church was filled with energy, laughter, and the beautiful sound of young voices learning what it truly means to live out our theme: "Where kids are called to follow Jesus."

From the dusty trails of Cactusville to the foot of the cross, the children discovered that following Jesus is the greatest adventure of a lifetime. They learned about faith, obedience, and the unconditional love that Savior has for each and every one of them.

𝗔 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺!
An undertaking this special doesn't happen without a village. We want to extend our deepest, most sincere gratitude to our phenomenal Children’s Department leadership, our tireless teachers.

You loved these children fiercely, invested your time, energy, and creativity, and became the hands and feet of Jesus to them this week. Thank you for answering the call to ministry and for planting seeds of faith that will surely grow for eternity.

𝗧𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀,
Thank you for trusting us with your precious little ones. It is a profound privilege to partner with you in guiding the next generation. Scripture reminds us of the lasting impact of this work:

✝️ Proverbs 22:6
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹, 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗱! 🙌
Most importantly, we praise and thank God our Heavenly Father and Jesus our Savior for His abundant blessings. He provided safety, open hearts, and the perfect atmosphere for His Holy Spirit to work. We give Him all the honor and glory for every prayer prayed, every song sung, and every young heart that decided to follow Jesus this week.

Please continue to pray for our Cactusville graduates as they walk the trail of life, always remembering who called them!

Today we celebrate your beautiful commitment to our church family. Thank you for the steadfast heart you show as our songleader, lifting our spirits in praise, and as our health leader, guiding us to care for the temples God gave us. Your devotion to both the melody of worship and the ministry of health is a powerful witness to Christ’s love.

May you continue to serve Him and His people with joy and strength until the day Jesus comes to take us home. We pray that this year brings you renewed energy and abundant blessings as you lead us closer to the heart of God.

"𝘎𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘰𝘵 𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘭𝘢𝘬-𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘭𝘢𝘬,

𝘜𝘴𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘶𝘱𝘢𝘶𝘣𝘰𝘴, 𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘶𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘢𝘴.

𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘵 𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘭𝘢𝘬-𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘭𝘢𝘬,

Here are a few ways that "little light" connects back to the Creator:

1. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 🌟
The song emphasizes that the firefly shines taliwala sa kangitngit (in the middle of the darkness). This mirrors the character of God throughout scripture. When the world feels heavy or dark, God often provides "small lights" moments of peace, a kind word, or a sense of hope to show He is still there.
As the "Father of Lights," He is the source of that glow.

2. 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙 🫴
The lyrics say the light nag-iwag sa bata (guides the child). This reflects the protective, fatherly nature of God. Just as the firefly’s light is small but sufficient to show the next step, God often leads us one step at a time rather than showing the whole road at once. It’s a call to trust in His guidance, especially during the "night" seasons of life.

3. 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 🤍
Whether the firefly goes mupaubos (low) or mupataas (high), it keeps shining. This is a great metaphor for God's presence. Our circumstances might change sometimes we feel like we are on a mountaintop and sometimes in a valley but the Creator’s love and the truth of His word remain constant.

4. 𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧 😇
A firefly doesn't create its own light by effort; it’s built into its very nature by design. Similarly, when we stay connected to God, we reflect His light to the world around us. Even if we feel like "small lights" in a big world, that light is intentional and serves a divine purpose.

It really turns a simple sabbath school children's song into a prayer of sorts, a reminder that no matter how dark it gets, the Creator has provided a light to lead His children home.

✝️ Psalm 27:1:
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
