Today, we give thanks to God for the gift of your life and for your unwavering dedication in serving the Church and the youth of our Diocese.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ Did You Know? | The Meaning Behind the IFI Flag

One of the most distinctive features of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI) Flag is the placement of its colors:

πŸ”΄ Red on Top – symbolizes the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Filipino people. It reflects the Church's roots in the struggle for national freedom and its commitment to justice and truth.

πŸ”΅ Blue on the Bottom – represents peace, faith, unity, and hope. It reminds us that after every struggle comes the call to live in harmony under God's guidance.

Unlike the Philippine national flag, where the colors change position during wartime, the IFI Flag permanently places the red above the blue. This serves as a lasting reminder that the Church was born during a time of sacrifice and continues to uphold the values of courage, independence, and service to God and the Filipino people.

At the heart of our identity is our enduring motto: Pro Deo et Patria β€” "For God and Country." These words embody the mission of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente: to faithfully serve God while remaining steadfast in our love and service to the Filipino nation.
The IFI Flag is more than a symbolβ€”it is a testament to our history, faith, and unwavering commitment to Pro Deo et Patria.

"For God. For Country."

8th Sunday After Pentecost
Matthew 13:24–30, 36–43

Pamalandong

Amen.
