SHARING MY SOAP JOURNAL: ( Scripture. Observation. Application. Prayer)
Date: October 28, 2015 / Wednesday / 6:50 am / Al Nasseriya, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.”
OBSERVATION: Every endeavor in life starts with a choice. You cannot achieve anything if you will just sleep or live your life in a typical way. People will never be satisfied – that’s the truth – hence, people will always have plans in their hearts. As a Christian, I have learned the importance of entrusting your plans and decisions in life for I have grasped that it is only Him who knows what lies ahead at the end of our journeys. It is only God who can see our future, thus, entrusting to Him our entire plans is the best thing to do. Since He knows what is ahead of us, He knows what is best for us, what are the dangers or good things ahead. He will guide us; fill us with His heavenly knowledge and wisdom. The Father who loves us so much will never leave us nor forsake us in every step of the way if we just let Him too.
APPLICATION: I will apply this verse in the following ways:
1. I would acknowledge that it should not be my will but His will be done in my life.
2. In every decision that I would make, I would always consult Him first in prayer if it is pleasant or if my decision will glorify Him.
3. I would acknowledge that the plans only entrusted to Him are the only plans that succeed and become fruitful.
PRAYER: Lord, there are times I suddenly make decisions without even asking for Your guidance in prayer. That is why, I fail and falter along the way. Help me O Lord to remember that the plans I have in life should not only be shared within myself but I need to share it also with You because You know what lies ahead, what is best for me and simply because You are my Father and I am Your child. AMEN.
