Blessing can become a test of the heart. When what God gives begins to make us forget the God who gives, the blessing can become a source of pride or self-reliance.

Deuteronomy 8 reminds us to remember the Lord as the Source of all we have and to faithfully use what He entrusts to us for His purposes.

β€œYou shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth…”

Remember the Source. Recognize the Purpose. Guard Your Heart.

God blesses us not so that we would glorify ourselves, but so that our lives would point back to Him. Every opportunity, possession, ability, achievement, and provision is ultimately a gift from God, entrusted to us for His purposes. We are stewards, not owners.

As His blessings increase, so should our gratitude. As success comes, humility should remain. And as God entrusts more to us, our faithfulness should grow with it.

Never let what is in your hands make you forget Who has placed it there.

Stay humble. Stay grateful. Stay faithful. What God gives is temporary, but the Giver is eternal.

𝗦𝗨𝗑𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗣𝗛𝗒𝗧𝗒 π—›π—œπ—šπ—›π—Ÿπ—œπ—šπ—›π—§π—¦ | August 23, 2026

Everything we have is ultimately from God. His blessings are not given for our possession alone, but entrusted to us for His purposes. Today’s message reminded us that faithful stewardship begins with remembering the Giver, holding His gifts with humility, and using them in ways that honor Him.

God’s gifts are never meant to replace God Himself. Every blessing is an opportunity to serve others, fulfill His purposes, and bring glory to His name.

β€œWe are not owners of God’s blessings; we are stewards of what He has entrusted to us.”

Our hearts are heavy as we pray for the victims, their families, and the school communities affected by the recent acts of violence and shootings.

As parents, teachers, students, and members of our communities, it is understandable to feel fear and concern when violence happens in places where people should feel safe. We should not ignore the reality of what is happening, nor pretend that faith means we will never experience fear, grief, or uncertainty.

In the midst of these realities, we turn to God.

We pray for those who are grieving, those who have been wounded, and those carrying fear from what they have experienced or witnessed. We pray for parents, teachers, students, school leaders, and authorities. May God give them wisdom, compassion, courage, and strength.

We may not have answers to every question or control everything that happens around us. But we know the God to whom we can turn. He remains our refuge and strength, present with us in trouble and worthy of our trust.

β€œGod is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way…”
β€” Psalm 46:1–2

Let us keep praying. Keep loving. Keep trusting the Lord.

May God have mercy on those affected, comfort the grieving, heal the wounded, and give wisdom to our communities as we face a broken world.
