For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

God, thank You for teaching us how to live lives that honor You and also showing us how to challenge the world around us confidently. Thank You for being my Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. You are our everything, Lord. Amen.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Father God, please fill us with joy and peace because we trust in You. And if we start to feel overwhelmed, hopeless, confused or fearful - remind us that You are near. Please make us aware of Your presence. Fill us up, God, so that way we overflow with confident hope, regardless of what comes my way. In Jesus' name, Amen.

God, You created faith, hope, and love. And it is because You loved us first that we can love others. During this season of advent, increase our ability to show faith, hope, and love to everyone around us to Your glory. Amen.

Jesus, thank You for Your perfect love. Because You are more than enough for us, we know we have nothing to fear. Thank You for reassuring us of Your love each day. We know our love is not perfect, and sometimes made mistakes but we know Your love for us does not depend on what we can do. Help us to love You and others better each day.
