βœ¨πŸ’™ MARIST VOCATION DISCERNMENT WEEK 2026 | DAY 5 FINALE πŸ’™βœ¨

From meaningful recollections, inspiring workshops, joyful socialization nights, and unforgettable brotherhood moments, the Marist Vocation Discernment Week 2026 officially came to a beautiful conclusion with grateful hearts and renewed spirits. πŸ™βœ¨

Held at the Marist Brothers Formation House, Fourviere community General Santos City, the entire week became a journey of prayer, self-discovery, faith, and discernment. Every session, reflection, and shared experience helped the workshopers encounter the Marist spirit of simplicity, humility, service, and family spirit. πŸ’™

The final day was filled with energy, fun, and heartfelt moments through the workshops, community activities, and fellowship that strengthened the bond among all participants. The week officially concluded with a memorable photo opportunity together with the whole team in front of the Marist Brothers East Asia Province Center, capturing not only smiles, but also the friendships, memories, and vocation journeys formed throughout this meaningful week. πŸ“Έβœ¨

As this chapter closes, may the seeds planted during this discernment journey continue to grow in the hearts of every workshoper.

✨ β€œGod’s call is discovered in prayer, strengthened in community, and lived through service.”

🌧️✨ DAY 4 HIGHLIGHTS | Marist Vocation Discernment Week 2026 ✨🌧️
πŸ“… May 7, 2026 | Thursday

Rainy mornings, reflective hearts, and joyful nights β€” Day 4 was truly a memorable encounter of faith, brotherhood, and vocation. πŸ™πŸ’™

Despite the heavy rain showers, the spirit of the Marist community remained alive and strong as the workshopers gathered for a meaningful Recollection led by Br. Rustico Lumbo, FMS, speaker and workshop chairperson of the Marist Brothers Discernment Week Workshop 2026. Through prayer, silence, reflection, and sharing, each participant was invited to pause, listen, and rediscover God’s gentle call in their lives. ✨

As the evening unfolded, the community came alive with laughter, energy, and unforgettable moments during the much-awaited Socialization Night! πŸŽ‰ From exciting games and fun performances to meaningful interactions and getting-to-know-each-other moments, the night became a beautiful celebration of friendship, unity, and Marist brotherhood. πŸ€πŸ’«

Indeed, this journey reminds us that vocation is not only about prayer and discernment, it is also about building connections, sharing joy, and growing together as one family in Christ. πŸ’™

✨ β€œGod speaks not only in silence, but also in the joy of community.”

πŸ“ DAY 3 | Marist Vocation Discernment Week 2026
May 6 | Wednesday

Another meaningful day unfolds as our workshopers continue their journey of discernment, formation, and brotherhood. πŸ™βœ¨

Day 3 became a beautiful encounter of learning and experience as participants explored the different ministries of the Marist Brothers and gained deeper understanding about the stages of formation and the path toward religious life.

The visit to the Marcellin Foundation Inc. also opened hearts and minds to the Marist mission of service, compassion, and love for those in need living out the spirit of St. Marcellin Champagnat through concrete action. πŸ’™

Beyond the sessions and reflections, the day ended with gratitude and joyful fraternity as the community gathered to celebrate the 20th birthday of Kurt Leenard Bautista, a 2nd Year Marist Brother Aspirant. πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚

Indeed, vocation is not only about discovering one’s calling, but also about building a life centered on prayer, service, community, and joy.

✨ β€œTo know Christ and make Him known.”

From the stillness of the early morning to the quiet of the night, Day 2 unfolds as a journey of prayer, reflection, and self-discovery. πŸŒ…πŸ™

Balanced with moments of service, manual work, sports, and silence, this day reminds us that vocation is not only heard in words, but discovered in action, community, and prayer.

✨ β€œKnow yourself, deepen your faith, and listen closely, God is calling.”

CO-DISCERNERS OF VOCATION 🀝

"We do not direct vocation, we only co-discern... Let our work remain challenging. Because when it is challenging, we continue to learn."

With these words, Most Rev. Roberto O. Gaa, D.D., Bishop of Novaliches and CBCP-ECV President, concluded our 29th DVP National Convention during his homily at the Closing Mass.

He challenged every vocation promoter to review our very understanding of discernment. A vocation, he reminded us, is not based on fleeting feelings of happiness, but on the unchangeable reality that God has called.

Our role as co-discerners, therefore, is not to give answers, but to become a clear and unbiased echo. We are called to listen so deeply with the candidates that we help them listen to themselves, and ultimately, to hear the voice of Godβ€”unhindered and unhampered.

What a profound and beautiful mission to be sent forth with: to be, above all, masters of sacred listening! 😍
