𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐂𝐇 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄.

Every time another heartbreaking incident happens in a school, we ask the same questions: 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏? 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒘𝒆 𝒈𝒐 𝒘𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈? We grieve, we pray, we share our opinions, and then we move on—until the next tragedy reminds us once again that our students are crying out for help.

But perhaps the better question is this:
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵?

Every student is being discipled by someone. If not by parents, teachers, or the Church, then by culture, social media, influencers, and countless voices that shape their values every single day. No student grows up without influence. The question is simply: 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺?

The recent news from our schools is not just a call for stricter policies or better security. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝗸𝗲-𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵. Our students don't only need protection; they need purpose. They don't only need education; they need discipleship. They don't only need rules; they need someone who will walk with them and point them to Jesus.

Church, this is not the time to stay comfortable within our four walls. This is the time to pray intentionally, to go courageously, and to disciple faithfully. The next generation is listening. May they hear the voice of Jesus through us.

Lastly, let us not wait for another heartbreaking headline before we remember our mission.
