Let Us Pray for MINDANAO

Gracious Father,

A powerful earthquake has shaken our communities and left many hearts troubled. The impact has been great, and many are facing uncertainty, fear, and concern for their families and loved ones. In this moment, we turn to You, knowing that You are greater than every circumstance we face.

Lord, we pray for every person affected by this disaster. Protect those who are in danger, comfort those who are afraid, and strengthen those who have suffered loss. Be near to every family seeking safety and every community working to recover.

We ask for Your divine protection over Mindanao and all areas affected by this earthquake. Guard homes, hospitals, churches, schools, and evacuation centers. Grant wisdom and endurance to emergency responders, medical workers, government officials, and volunteers serving on the front lines.

Father, when the earth shakes beneath our feet, remind us that Your love remains steadfast and Your promises remain sure. Fill our hearts with courage instead of fear, faith instead of anxiety, and hope instead of despair.

May this difficult moment draw us closer to one another and closer to You. Help us to be instruments of compassion, encouragement, and service to those in need.

We place our trust in Your mighty hands, believing that You are still in control and that Your grace is sufficient for every challenge we face.

In the name of Jesus, our Savior and our Hope, we pray.

Amen.

Five loaves and two fish did not seem like enough for a crowd of thousands. When the disciples looked at what they had, they saw scarcity. They counted the people, measured the resources, and concluded that it was impossible. Yet Jesus looked at the same five loaves and two fish and saw an opportunity for God's power to be revealed. The miracle was never about the size of the gift. It was about placing what little was available into the hands of Christ. This Sabbath, God invites us to stop counting what we do not have and start trusting the One who provides all that we need. Worry grows when we focus on our limitations. Faith grows when we focus on God's sufficiency. As we rest this Sabbath, may we surrender our fears, our needs, and our uncertainties to God. What seems small in our hands becomes sufficient in His hands. What appears impossible to us is possible for Him. When we place our "five loaves and two fish" in the hands of Jesus, we can live with confidence, knowing that His grace, His love, and His provision are always more than enough. Joyful Sabbath youth for Christ!

Lamentations 3:25 says, โ€œThe LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.โ€ For many, waiting can feel like being stuck, waiting for clarity, waiting for healing, waiting for answers, waiting for a heart to feel โ€œrightโ€ again. But in Scripture, waiting is never empty space. It is often where God is doing something unseen. Waiting, in human experience, often feels like being left behind. But in Godโ€™s heart, waiting is not abandonment. It is restraint wrapped in love. It is a Father who does not force the childโ€™s steps, even when He already sees the direction they are meant to go. It is Christ not turning away from a wandering heart, but remaining where that heart last knew. So young people, He will wait does not mean God is inactive, it means His love is patient enough to stay where we left Him, without closing the door behind us. It also means no season of delay is wasted in His presence. The silence you feel is not distance from His side; it is space where He is still forming something within what feels unfinished. And when the heart finally turns, it will not meet hesitation. It will meet a love that has been there all along, unchanged, unwearied, still waiting. Happy Sabbath young people of Christ!
