This Holy Tuesday, the Gospel gets real about Moments of Night we all face - those times when we feel like a total work in progress. We often find ourselves acting like Peter, talking a big game and overestimating our own strength, only to let ourselves down. Other times, weโre more like Judas, choosing a quick win or a temporary distraction that leaves us feeling empty and alone. Itโs easy to feel like you have to have it all figured out, but even Jesus was deeply troubled. He didn't mask His stress or anxiety; He walked right through it, showing us that our struggle doesn't disqualify us from Godโs love.
The shift weโre invited to make this week is trading the grind for grace. We live in a world that tells us to prove our worth through our own efforts, but Peterโs story proves that self-reliance has its limits. Instead of acting perfect, weโre called to be honest about our vulnerabilities, because thatโs where Godโs strength actually shows up.
When things get dark, don't pull a Judas and ghost your friends, family, or community. Stay at the table. Even if you feel like youโve messed up, stay connected to the Light, because thatโs the only place where a comeback, a resurrection, is possible.
