Life doesnโt always move gently. In Genesis 35, we see Rachel, on a journey, in pain, giving birth, and ultimately losing her life. Itโs a moment filled with sorrow, interruption, and what feels like defeat. Sometimes our lives look like that too, unexpected struggles, heartbreak, and seasons that seem to take more than they give.
But Romans 8:11 shifts our perspective. It reminds us that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. Thatโs not just comfort, thatโs power. Resurrection power. The kind that doesnโt deny pain, but refuses to let it have the final word.
โStill I Riseโ is not about pretending everything is okay. Itโs about knowing that even when life brings you to your lowest, you are not empty, you are inhabited by divine strength. A great power dwells in you. The Spirit of God doesnโt just visit you in hard times, it lives in you, breathes life into your weary soul, and lifts you back up.
Rachelโs story ended in sorrow, but your story doesnโt have to end where the pain hits. Because of the Spirit within you, you have a bounce-back grace. You may bend, but you wonโt break. You may fall, but you will rise again.
So when life presses hard, remember this:
You donโt rise because life is easy,
you rise because Godโs power in you is greater than whatโs against you.
Stillโฆ you rise.
