Who controls the narrative?
PILIPINO can mean "chosen to be refined" and as we listen and watch to what is happening nowadays, may we have a discerning heart and reflect on the failure we had as a country.
Let this be a refining moment for the Philippines as we are brought to our knees to pray for an extraordinary intervention for the glory of the One who chose us - our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 15:16)

Minsan kapag brownout, kahit munting liwanag ay sapat na hangang sa muling pag balik ng kuryente. :-)
Just Shine...
Gaano man kahina, may gamit pa rin.
At kung tayo ay magsasama-sama, walang magagawa ang kadiliman at kasamaan.

An island set apart for a purpose.
With a culture that could talk about the causes of bribery
That hounds our society up to our present time.

The HEART of the Philippine Islands comes alive again after Christmas. This is because we have “two Christmas” in our HEART. Only in Marinduque where we are reminded of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ (through Tres Reyes Islands) and of course “The Moryones Festival” where we are given a platform to reflect on His death and resurrection. Culturally, we are the only island where we welcome our visitors with “PUTONG or TUBONG”, which also points us to the “incarnate God” who was treated as “King of the Jew” with a “Crown of Thorn”. And as we exhibit our musical wonders of “KALUTANG”, may we be reminded that our small contributions in the development of our nation does not depend on the number of concrete that were laid but on the connectivity of our spirits “fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrew 12:2 RSV).
Welcome to Marinduque – The Heart of the Philippine Islands

January 29, Monday, is the Philippine National Bible Day in the year of our Lord 2024. (RA 111631)

PILIPINO (noun) – Chosen to be refined. This word does not pertain to any nationality but rather it refers to a person chosen not because of his best and appropriate qualities but for the purpose of refinement to do a certain task. It comes from 2 Tagalog words PILI + PINO, but its meaning is embodied in the biblical verse in John 15:16. (The Moryon with a Mission Project. - 1998)
