Prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

8 SIGNS YOU ARE UNDER SPIRITUAL ATTACK:

1. Loss of spiritual desire.

The goal of any spiritual attack is to turn you away from what Jesus wants to do in your life.

That is why the first warning sign of attack is a loss of spiritual desire. We don't live by feelings alone, but there is a difference between doing something merely out of obligation and doing something because you delight in it.

When you delight in the Lord, nothing else compares. Someone passionate for Jesus Christ finds pleasure in the things of God.

2. Physical fatigue.

The second warning sign is physical fatigue. I know that doesn't sound very spiritual, but keep in mind that we are created beings—spirit, soul, and body.

If my body is weak, it allows things to get into my mind (soul), and that allows things to negatively affect my spirit.

Many times we face our greatest attacks just before a great promotion or just after a great victory.

Keep in mind when you're going through it—an attack could very well be an indication that you are about to be promoted or just had a great victory.

3. "Lack attack."

The third sign that you are under attack is a "lack attack." There are times when it seems that all of your resources dry up at the same time. The enemy attacks in this to get you to take your eyes off of Jesus and put your eyes on money.

If he can get you worrying rather than worshiping, you will start making decisions based on opportunity rather than anointing.

Always remember there are two times in your life when you are especially vulnerable to temptation: when you have nothing and when you have everything.

Stay close to Jesus Christ in both the good times and the bad times.

4. Weak prayer life.

The fourth sign that you are under spiritual attack is a weakening prayer life. "Could you not watch with Me one hour?" Jesus asked His disciples.

Then He told them, "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matt. 26:40-41).

5. Feeling overwhelmed and helpless.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by circumstances? That could be a sign that you are under attack.

The word circumstance comes from two words: circum (encircle) and stance (stand). In other words, you are standing encircled by what's going on. It doesn't take long for feelings of being overwhelmed to lead to hopelessness.

The Bible says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick" (Prov. 13:12). It also tells us, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Heb. 11:1).

If the enemy can get you to lose hope, he can get you to stop living by faith.

6. Old habits and lifestyles resurface.

The sixth sign that you are under spiritual attack is that old iniquities begin to resurface in your life. What is an iniquity? Some consider iniquities to be those old habits that your soul wants to fall back on when things aren't going your way—things that indulge the flesh.

If this begins to happen, do not ignore the warning conviction of the Holy Spirit.

7. Pulling away from Godly relationships.

When old iniquities start tempting you, the next sign of spiritual attack is sure to follow: pulling away from godly relationships. Look around. Have you pulled out of relationships with people at church or with people in your small group?

Are more and more of your friends carnally minded rather than spiritually minded? If so, you are stumbling around the battleground and the enemy has a target on your head.

8. Five "Do Nots" to Break the Enemy's Attack.

Once you've taken a stand against the enemy's attack, here are five "do nots" you must remember.

Do not forget who made you. God created you with storms in mind. He has equipped you and you are going to make it through in Him.
Do not forsake the time and place of prayer.

Two things that are vital to a successful prayer life: a time of prayer and a place of prayer.

Do not forsake the place of power. Your church is a place of power.

Do not forsake the power of partnership. It is good to be around people who have lived longer, done more than you have and can give wise counsel.

Do not disconnect from pastoral protection. I have often seen people under attack whom I wanted to pull close and help, but they refused.

Don't wait until the enemy is tearing you to pieces to seek the aid of those in a pastoral role in your life.

If you are under attack, you can arm yourself against the enemy's schemes, equip yourself to fight and win!

WHY GO TO MASS?

1. At the hour of your death, your greatest comfort will be the Masses you attended during your lifetime with fervor and devotion.

2. Every Mass you attended will accompany you in the divine court and advocate for forgiveness.

3. With each Mass you can diminish the temporary punishment you owe for your sins, in proportion to the fervor with which you hear it.

4. With devoted assistance to Holy Mass, you pay the greatest tribute to the Blessed Humanity of Our Lord.

5. Holy Mass well heard supplements your many negligences and omissions.

6. For the holy mass well heard you forgive all the venial sins you are determined to avoid, and many others you don't even remember.

7. By her also loses the devil dominion over you.

8. You offer the greatest comfort to the blessed souls of Purgatory.

9. You get blessings in your business and temporary affairs.

10. A Mass heard as long as you live will profit you much more than many offered for you after death.

11. You get rid of many dangers and misfortunes you might fall into if it weren't for Holy Mass.

12. Also remember that you shorten your Purgatory with it.

13. With each Mass you will increase your degrees of glory in Heaven. In it you receive the blessing of the priest, which God ratifies in heaven.

14. To him who hears Mass every day, God will deliver him from a tragic death and the Guardian Angel will take into account the steps he takes to go to Mass, and God will reward him in his death.

15. During the Mass you kneel in the midst of a multitude of angels invisibly attending the Holy Sacrifice with extreme reverence.

16. When we hear mass in honor of a particular Saint, giving thanks to God for the favours given to that Saint, we can only gain his protection and special love, for the honor, joy and happiness that our good work is Follows him.

17. Every day we hear Mass, it would be nice if in addition to other intentions, we were to honor the Saint of the Day.

18. Mass is the greatest gift that can be offered to the Lord for souls, to remove them from purgatory, deliver them from their sorrows and lead them to joy of glory. - Saint Bernard of Sena.

19. Whoever hears Mass, makes prayer, gives alms or prays for the souls of Purgatory, works for his own advantage. - St. Augustine.

20. For every Mass held or heard with devotion, many souls leave Purgatory, and those left there are lessened sorrows they suffer. - Saint Gregory the Great, Pope.

21. During the celebration of Mass, the sorrows of souls are suspended for those who pray and work the priest, and especially those for whom the Mass offers. - St. Gregory the Great.

22. You can also earn Plenary Indulgence every Monday of the year by offering holy Mass and Communion in suffrage of the blessed souls of Purgatory. For the faithful who can't hear Mass on Monday it's worth hearing Sunday with that intention.

23. It is pleaded that they apply all indulgences in the suffrage of the souls of Purgatory, because God our Lord, and they will reward him this charity.

24. The Holy Mass is the renewal of the Sacrifice of Calvary, the greatest act of worship to the Holy Trinity. That's why it's a must hear it every Sunday and party to save.

Lord, the widow mom has a difficult job of caring not only for the physical needs of her children but also their emotional and spiritual needs. Sundays are often difficult because she feels she cannot face another week. As Mother’s Day approaches, bless this precious woman in a special way. Send a friend to her side when needed. Use others to affirm her value and worth in you. Lighten her load in ways she would not expect. Please let her know that you are there. In Jesus’ name ,amen.

Saturday:

Lord, bless and protect her. Thank you for being her defender. Let this widow know that your face radiates with joy because of her. Be gracious to her by placing your favor over her and her children not only in this generation but in the generations to come (Numbers 6:24-26). In Jesus’ name amen.

Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is the key to God's heart.

09/07/2024

The devil appeared to three monks and said to them: "If I gave you the power to change something in the past, what would you change?"

The first of them, with great apostolic fervor, replied: "I would like to prevent you from leading Adam and Eve to sin, so that humanity does not separate from God."

The second, a man full of mercy, said to him: "I will prevent you from straying from God and condemning you forever."

The third of them was the simplest and instead of answering the tempter, he knelt down, made the sign of the cross, and prayed: "Lord, deliver me from the temptation of what might have been and what was not."

The demon, screaming and trembling with pain, fled.

The other two were surprised and said to him: "Brother, why did you react like this?"

And he answered them: “First, we should never talk to the enemy.”

“Secondly, no one in the world has the power to change the past.”

“Third: Satan’s interest was not to prove our virtue, but to trap us in the past, so that we neglect the present, the only time God gives us His grace and we can cooperate with Him to fulfill His will.”

Of all the demons, the one that most holds men back and prevents them from being happy is “what could have been and was not.” The past is left to the mercy of God and the future to His providence. Only the present is in our hands. Live today loving God with all your heart. - Copied from Sis. Mary

Lord, we thank you for the special plan you have for the widow and her children. Please increase and strengthen her faith in you. Pour your love through her to her children. Allow the love she feels for her children to be a reminder of your love for her. Let her know that you have not forgotten her. Your love for her is great. Grant to her endurance so that she may remain steadfast in her hope in Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 1:3-4). In Jesus’ name amen🙏
