Today, August 5, we joyfully celebrate the birthday of Rev. Fr. Marjune Caloring, O.Carm., who currently serves as the Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Escalante City.

On this special day, we give thanks to God for the precious gift of Fr. Marjune's life, his vocation, and his faithful service in the Lord's vineyard. Through his joyful spirit, warm smile, and genuine kindness, he has become a source of encouragement and hope to many. His cheerful presence and generous heart remind us that serving the Lord is not only a calling but also a joyful witness to God's love.

As you continue to labor in the Lord's vineyard, may God bless you with renewed strength, good health, wisdom, and an ever-deepening love for Christ. May the Holy Spirit sustain you in your priestly ministry, making your service fruitful and your witness ever more radiant, so that many may come to know and experience God's mercy through your life.

Dako kaayo ang among kalipay ug pagpasalamat sa Ginoo tungod sa imong matinud-anong pag-alagad isip among Obispo ug ilabi na nga usa ka igsoon namo sa pamilya sa Carmel. Ang imong pagkamapainubsanon, gugma sa Simbahan, ug walay kakapoy nga pag-atiman sa katawhan sa Diyos nagpadayon sa pagdasig kanamo sa pagkinabuhi nga matinumanon sa Ebanghelyo.

JULY 16 | FEAST DAY OF OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL

PONTIFICAL MASS & INSTALLATION RITES

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish joyfully celebrated its Annual Patronal Fiesta on the Solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, our beloved Patroness. This year's celebration was made even more meaningful as we officially welcomed and gave thanks for the installation of our new Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Melvin L. Lorono, O.Carm.

The solemn Pontifical Mass was presided over by His Excellency, Most Rev. Gerardo Alminaza, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of San Carlos. In jubilation, Bishop Gerry was accompanied by concelebrating priests and deacon of the Diocese, making the Eucharistic celebration a beautiful expression of the Church's unity, faith, and communion.

As part of the Installation Rites, the Parish Pastoral Council and the Parish Finance Council were formally presented to the Bishop and to the faithful, signifying their commitment to collaborate with our newly installed Parish Priest in fostering the spiritual, pastoral, and temporal welfare of the parish. Their presentation highlighted the shared responsibility of the clergy and laity in building a vibrant and mission-oriented parish community.

The church was filled with the vibrant presence of the Carmelite Familyโ€”the Third Order Of Carmelites de Escalante, Carmel Youth Philippines - Escalante Community, Carmelite Sisters of Our Lady, Carmelite Associates, alongside other various religious and mandated organizations, devoted parishioners, City Government Officials, representatives from EPSTEMPCO Visayas, and our generous sponsors. United in faith and thanksgiving, the entire Parish Community gathered to honor our Blessed Mother and celebrate this joyful milestone in the life of our Parish.

As we celebrated our Patroness, we also entrusted the pastoral ministry of Fr. Melvin to the loving guidance and maternal protection of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. May she continue to intercede for him as he faithfully shepherds our Parish Family with wisdom, compassion, and zeal for the Gospel.

JULY 16 | FOOT PROCESSION

On the morning of July 16, we began our feast day celebration with a solemn foot procession in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It was a beautiful expression of faith and devotion as the Carmelite Family came together in prayer and unity.

Present during the procession were the Third Order of Carmelites de Escalante, Carmel Youth, Rev. Fr. Melvin Lorono, O.Carm., and Sr. Lurian Vincent Comaling, Carm.O.L. Joining the Carmelite Family were our parishioners, devotees, and the faculty, staff, and students of Mount Carmel College of Escalante, Inc.

As we walked together with our Blessed Mother, we were reminded to follow her example of faith, humility, and trust in God.
