The Episcopal Commission on Mutual Relations between Bishops and Religious (ECMR) warmly welcomes the Vicars for the Clergy, Vicars for Consecrated Life, and Presidents/Coordinators of Diocesan Associations of Consecrated Persons to the Joint Convention on Mutual Relations 2026, happening on 20–22 October 2026 at Manresa Retreat House.
This three-day gathering will provide a meaningful space for dialogue, formation, reflection, and collaboration, focusing on the relationship between the Diocesan Church and Consecrated Life and their shared responsibility in the mission of the Church.
Among the key themes and sessions are:
🔹 Magnifica Humanitas: Safeguarding the Human Person in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
🔹 Consecrated Life within Ecclesial Communion: Authority, Charism, Participation, and Co-Responsibility
🔹 Prophetic Witnesses of Peace: The Contribution of Consecrated Persons Amid Today’s Challenges
🔹 From Courtesy to Co-Responsibility: Roles and Mutual Relationships within the Local Church
🔹 Clear Agreements, Trustworthy Mission: MOAs, Appointments, Finances, Properties, Personnel, and Accountability
🔹 A Credible Church: Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, Care, Reporting, and Accompaniment
Through these conversations, may this gathering deepen mutual understanding, trust, and ecclesial communion, while strengthening a spirit of shared responsibility and collaboration in the mission of the Church.
