St Joseph the Worker Parish-EBM - Diocese of Bacolod This is the OFFICIAL FACEBOOK PAGE of the Parish Community of St. Joseph the Worker Parish-EBM. An Augustinian Recollect, Fr. B. Magalona in honor of Gen. Fr. Rev.

BACKGROUND:

During the late 1800s, the island of Negros was then under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Cebu. Pedro Lago, was assigned to the Parish of Saravia (former name of E. Emilio Saravia-a Spanish Governor) on October 1860. On July 1872, Fr. Lago then started to build the first chapel of the municipality in the location where the current Municipal Water Works Tank is situated. A bigger

church was built under the supervision of Fr. Hilarion in December 1873, the same church that is currently standing until now. The Parish is now under the care of its current parish priest, Rev. Ernie A. Larida (assigned last June 12, 2023) together with parish deacon, Rev. Darcy M. Galas (assigned last June 2, 2023). The Parish is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Bacolod and under the pastoral care of the Most. Patricio Abella Buzon, SDB. D.D, Bishop of Bacolod.

Gina agda ang tanan sa pagpakigbahin kag pagtambong sa santos nga miaa sa pagpadayon sa pagpangamuyo sang kalinong kag paghidaet sa aton pungsod, aton ini tanan idangop sa labing Santos nga kasing kasing ni Jesus nga kabay unta hatagan kita sang grasya sang pagpatwad nga may kalinong kag matinlo nga tagipuso-on sa tagsa-tagsa. Upod man sa pagpamalandong sang aton naglain-lain nga mga tema kada adlaw.
