"Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus."

According to the Apostle Paul, spiritual discipline is active training for godliness, not to earn salvation, but to yield to the Holy Spirit. Comparing the Christian life to an athlete in 1 Corinthians 9:25, Paul stressed self-control, putting away sinful habits, and pursuing spiritual maturity through specific practices

A Disciplined Soldier:
1. Follow Orders / Obedient (1 Kings 2:3)
2. Do not leave post (Proverbs 4:27)
3. Allegiance (Galatians 2:20, Romans 14:8)
4. Disentanglement (Hebrews 12:1)
5. Always trains (1 Timothy 4:7-8, Hebrews 12:11)
6. Always adopts (Philippians 4:11-12)
7. Well armed (Ephesians 6:10-18)
8. Battle tested (2 Timothy 4:7)
9. Mission focused (James 1:12, Matthew 25:21)

Title: WHY DISCIPLINE MATTERS?
More than any other quality, self discipline will have the greatest influence on wether we do well spiritually or not. The key to being a disciplined Christian is to be a motivated Christian. We should motivate ourselves to be disciplined in godliness because eternal issues are at stake.
Paul mentions Three(3) Eternal Issues that are at stake
1. The Fact of Eternity Itself 1 Timothy 4:8
2. The Fact of the Living God 1 Timothy 4:10
3. The Fact of Salvation 1 Timothy 4:10; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9
Now what is DISCIPLINE all about?
A. Discipline is an ongoing process, not a quick fix.
B. Discipline involves hardwork. We labor and strive
C. DiscIpline is discarding hindrances 1 Timothy 4:7
D. Discipline means keeping your eyes on the goal Hebrews 12:2
E. Discipline means managing your time in line with your goals

Key Text: 2 Peter 3:8-9 Psalm 27:14
Patience is not about how long you wait. It is about how you behave while waiting.

WHY GOD ALLOWS US TO EXPERIENCE TRIALS AND MAKES US WAIT?
(1) TO BUILD OUR TRUST IN HIM Psalm 27:14
(2) TO SEE THE DIVINE PURPOSE Romans 8: 28
(3) TO USE THE WAITING TIME WISELY Galatians 6:9
While Waiting:
A. KEEP PRAYING – REMAIN PERSISTENT IN PRAYER
B. KEEP SERVING – REMAIN FAITHFUL
C. KEEP BELEIVING – HOLD ON TO HIS PROMISES

Waiting seasons are not ‘wasted’ time. They are ‘preparation’ time for the greater blessings God has prepared for us.Breakthrough Patience strengthens us to wait and refine our relationship with God and with others around us.

Title: How to Cultivate Patience as the Fruit of the Holy Spirit?
Cultivating PATIENCE as the Fruit of the Holy Spirit means relying on God's power rather than your own strength.
How do we develop or cultivate patience?
1. We should root our patience on God's character (Exodus 34:6)
2. Practice Love in Relationships (Ephesians 4:2; 1 Corinthians 13:4)
3. Embrace Trials as opportunuties for Maturity (James 1:3-4)
4. Wait actively through prayer and wait expectantly (Romans 12:12)
5. Avoiding the flesh
6. Patience with Yourself
7. Patience in soul-winning (Psalms 126:5-6; Galatians 6:9)
Concusion:
God is waiting to be gracious to you. His timeline is perfect. He is preparing the best moment to bless you. You can trust and rest in His plans. He will never fail you.
3 Lessons:
1. Stop judging every moment instantly when it arrives, allow time to reveal the whole picture.
2. Trust the process.Just because you dont see the road ahead,does not mean that it leads to nowhere.
3. Stay steady both in good times and bad times. When things go well stay humble. When things fall apart,stay hopeful. Balance is the key to inner peace.
Life is not a single chapter. It is a wholebook. No one can judge a book by reading just one page. Only time will tell.

I. Conditions to be patient
1. When you know that it isn't your plan, you're patient.
2. When you know that something is not yours, you are willing to wait patiently.
3. When you know something will not glorify God, you choose to be patient instead of acting on it.
4. When you know what is more important, you will be patient.
5. When you pursue righteousness, you will learn to be patient.
II. Benefits of being patient
When you have patience:
- You remain calm
- You excel because you persevere until the work is complete
- You listen
- You mature
- You will finish the race

Breakthrough Patience that Sustains
James 1:3-4
God doesn't waste our trials. He uses them to build patience, and patience shapes us into mature believers. If we remain faithful through the testing, we will become mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Breakthrough Patience sustains believers to remain steadfast, allowing God’s perfect timing to bring forth lasting miracles and revival.
Isaiah 40:31

If you want a lasting miracle—a revival that alters the trajectory of your family, your career, and your ministry—you must let patience finish its work. Step out of the microwave mentality and step into God's building room.
