As part of the joyful celebration of the Feast of Sr. San Santiago Apostol, the faithful of St. James the Apostle Parish gathered in prayer and devotion for the solemn procession in honor of our beloved patron.

United in faith and thanksgiving, the community walked together, bearing witness to our enduring devotion and entrusting our prayers through the intercession of Sr. San Santiago Apostol. May his example of courage, faith, and unwavering commitment to Christ continue to inspire us as we journey together as one Church.

St. James, son of Zebedee and brother of John, is called "Greatโ€œ or โ€œElderโ€ to distinguish him from the other apostle James. He belonged to the inner circle of Jesusโ€™ apostles who exclusively witnessed three events - the raising of Jairusโ€™ daughter, the transfiguration, and the agony in the garden. Tradition says that he preached the Gospel in Spain. He was the first apostle to be martyred and the only one whose martyrdom is in the Bible.

Early in the morning, delegates of Vicariate Youth Day 2026 gathered for the Morning Liturgy and Living Rosary, prayerfully forming the rosary as a symbol of unity, faith, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amidst the rain, the youth continued to pray the Holy Rosary, remaining hopeful and steadfast in faith as they entrusted their intentions, hopes, and dreams to the loving care of Our Blessed Mother.

As one vicariate and one youth community, the delegates began the day centered on prayer, reminding everyone that every journey of faith is strengthened through communion with God and guided by the example of Mary. May this encounter continue to inspire the youth to grow in holiness and remain faithful to Christ in every season of life

Delegates from the different parishes of the Divine Mercy Vicariate are now gathered at Sta. Cruz Parish, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental for Vicariate Youth Day 2026. Filled with excitement, faith, and anticipation, the young pilgrims are being warmly welcomed as they begin this meaningful journey together.
