BE AN ALTAR SERVER

The Ministry of Altar Servers of Dupax del Sur, Saint Vincent Ferrer Parish, is now accepting aspirants from Grade 6 to Grade 10 who wish to serve the Lord through the sacred ministry of the altar. We are looking for young individuals who are committed, willing, and of good moral character. Altar servers are expected to demonstrate reverence, discipline, respect, and a sincere love for God and the Church. Serving at the altar is a noble responsibility that calls for faithfulness, obedience, and active participation in parish life.

Qualified aspirants must be willing to undergo proper formation and training, attend lectures, practices, and meetings, and faithfully serve during Holy Masses and other liturgical celebrations.The start of the lecture for all aspirants will be on February 7, 2026, at 7:30 a.m., to be held at the Parish Office.

We encourage parents and guardians to support their children in answering this call to serve the Lord. May this ministry help our young people grow in faith, responsibility, and love for the Church

Altar Servers of Dupax del Sur Take Part in the Installation of Rev. Fr. Frans Balinggan
October 5, 2025 Saint Vincent Ferrer Parish Church, Dupax del Sur

The Ministry of Altar Servers of Dupax del Sur took an active role in the solemn installation of Rev. Fr. Frans Balinggan as the new parish priest of Saint Vincent Ferrer Parish Church on October 5, 2025.

With the guidance and assistance of Brother Jomel, the altar servers helped ensure that the ceremony ran smoothly and meaningfully. Their service and dedication added to the solemnity and grace of the special celebration, which marked a new chapter for the parish community.

Following the installation rites, the regular Holy Mass continued as part of the day’s program. To conclude the joyful occasion, a lunch gathering was prepared at the gymnasium of Saint Mary’s School of Dupax, where parishioners, guests, and clergy members shared a meal and celebrated together.

Once called Knights and Sacristans, now known as Altar Servers yet our mission remain the same to serve at the table of the Lord with piety, decorum, and discipline.

As Pope John Paul II reminds us, ‘Servers are the friends of Jesus.’ Grateful for this calling, blessed to serve.

The altar servers faithfully assisted and later shared light moments taking selfies with the Reyna. As the saying goes, “Mga sacristan, after misa, deretso lamesa,” the celebration ended with a joyful meryenda.

April 20, 2025 Easter Sunday

He is Risen! The dawn of Easter Sunday was brought to life as the Ministry of Altar Servers of Dupax del Sur faithfully escorted the images of the Risen Christ and the Mother Dolorosa in two groups. A joyful angel’s dance signifying the reunion of Mother and Son. The celebration, presided over by Rev. Fr. Vincent Wance, was a beautiful symbol of faith, hope, and new beginnings.

the celebration continued with tinapay, juice, and Easter eggs, reminding us that even the simplest joys are gifts from the Risen Lord.

The Lord is risen, alleluia, alleluia!

April 19, 2025 Easter Vigil

A night filled with light, life, and renewal as the Ministry of Altar Servers of Dupax del Sur reverently served during the Easter Vigil celebration. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Rev. Fr. Vincent Wance for his unwavering guidance, this beautiful and solemn celebration would not have been possible without his leadership. The vigil was presided over by Rev. Msgr. Vicente Emilio Tugadi and Rev. Fr. Vincent Wance. Truly, a blessed and spirit-filled night as we welcomed the Risen Christ with hope and joy!

Four altar servers carried the cross to the altar, where Msgr. Vic was waiting. Fr. Vincent and Msgr. Vic were the first to bow and kiss the cross, showing respect for Christ’s sacrifice. The people then followed, each one kneeling, bowing, and kissing the cross to remember Christ’s suffering and thank Him for salvation. followed by the celebration of Holy Communion.
