𝗝𝗔𝗥𝗢@𝟳𝟱: 𝗔 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲

​Our parish family officially marked a historic milestone as we launched the 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary of the Archdiocese of Jaro!

​Led by our beloved Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jose Alex Serania, the celebration brought together various Parish Ministries and passionate Youth Leaders. It was a beautiful testament to a community united in faith, ready to step into a new chapter of grace.

As we look back at 75 years of blessings, the Archdiocese challenges us with a profound question: "Quid Nunc?" or in our local Hiligaynon, "Ano na karon?" (What now?). ​It is a call to action. It asks us not to stand still, but to look deeply into our hearts and ask how we can live out our faith more intensely today and in the years to come.

To guide our journey through this milestone year, we anchor our hearts on two powerful pillars of reflection:
​Our Journey of Grace:
● ​Bless the Past: We look back with immense gratitude for the generations of faith, sacrifice, and community that built the foundation we stand on today.
● ​Sanctify the Present: We strive to make today holy, actively serving God in our daily lives, our ministries, and our families.
● ​Consecrate the Future: We dedicate what is to come to the Lord, trusting the youth and our leaders to carry the torch of faith forward.

​Our Spiritual Response:
​● Repent our sins: Cleaning our hearts to make room for God’s grace.
​● Renew our lives: Transforming our actions to better reflect Christ's love.
​● Receive the blessing: Opening our hands to the gifts the Holy Spirit wants to pour into our community.

The Fire That Builds the Church

​Fifty days after the joy of Easter morning, the liturgical season reaches its dramatic finale on Pentecost Sunday. We transition from waiting in the Upper Room alongside the Apostles to being sent out into the world, newly equipped and radically changed.

Pentecost is often called the "birthday of the Church" because it marks the moment the mystical body of Christ became a visible, public movement. The Holy Spirit was poured out not to keep the disciples cozy or comfortable, but to drive them outward.

​The vibrant tradition of Flores de Mayo continues to flourish across our community this month. While often associated with grand processions, the heart of this devotion remains the daily gatherings in our local barangay chapels, where the youngest members of our faith offer their love to the Blessed Mother.

We encourage parents to bring their children to their respective chapels. This is a beautiful opportunity for the youth to experience the "spirit of Bayanihan" as families coordinate daily snacks and activities for the participants.

Let us fill our chapels with flowers and our hearts with prayer this May!
