"Those who serve God with a sincere heart never truly leave us. They live on through the love they shared, the lives they changed, and the hope they planted."

It is truly disheartening to lose one of the most humble, dedicated, and active youth servant of YIFI Sapao and Nalu-oyan.

You left us far too soon, but your life and legacy will never be forgotten. The memories we shared with you will forever be cherished, and the impact you made will continue to live in our hearts.

You faithfully chose to serve God with your whole heart, becoming a blessing to everyone you encountered. Through your love, compassion, and selfless service, you touched the lives of countless children and the entire Sapaonon community. Your kindness and unwavering faith will remain an inspiration to us all.

Though we grieve your passing, we take comfort in knowing that you are now resting in the loving presence of the God you faithfully served.

Rest well in paradise, our dear Rayver.๐Ÿค๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

VCS Culminating Activity Celebrates Faith, Learning, and Christian Fellowship

Last May 24, 2026, the Mission Chapel of Nuestra Seรฑora de Salvacion, Brgy. Sapao, Dumangas, Iloilo came together in a spirit of joy, gratitude, and Christian fellowship as children, parents, church workers, community leaders, and guests gathered for the 2026 Vacation Church School (VCS) Culminating Activity. The celebration marked the successful conclusion of this yearโ€™s faith formation program, highlighting the spiritual growth, learning, and shared experiences of the young participants. United in thanksgiving, the congregation rejoiced in Godโ€™s faithfulness as they celebrated the fruits of a meaningful journey of Christian education, discipleship, and community building.

The day began with a Sadsad procession followed by a Solemn High Mass, where participants offered prayers of gratitude to God for His guidance and blessings throughout the VCS journey. The celebration continued with the formal opening of the culminating program.

The activity opened with inspiring messages from Rev. Fr. Ali Dela Cuesta Jr., Hon. Francisco Sumalde Jr., Punong Barangay represented by Kgwd. Lyn Villa and Mrs. Renalyn Destua, WOPIC President, who encouraged the learners to continue living out the Christian values they learned during the Vacation Church School. Their messages emphasized the importance of faith, discipline, and active participation in the life of the Church.

Following a fellowship lunch and community-building activities, participants were further inspired by a messages from Mr. Marty Detablan, LIFI President and Council Vice Chairperson and SK Chairperson and YIFI Sapao Chapel President, Hon. Shann Rexis Detablan. The highlight of the afternoon was the inspirational message delivered by Ms. Sahara Jade C. Solis, who challenged the young learners to remain steadfast in their faith and become instruments of Godโ€™s love within their families, schools, and communities.

With a total of 70 learners, the event also recognized their dedication and accomplishments through the awarding of certificates and medals, while teachers and volunteers were acknowledged for their unwavering commitment to nurturing the childrenโ€™s spiritual growth. A special token of appreciation was presented to the inspirational speaker as a sign of gratitude for her valuable contribution to the program.

Adding color and excitement to the celebration were the learnersโ€™ presentations, teachersโ€™ presentations, interactive games, and the much-anticipated Unity Dance, showcasing the talents, confidence, and teamwork developed by the participants throughout the VCS program. Learners from Sapao Chapel and Nalu-Oyan Chapel proudly shared their performances, reflecting the lessons and values they had learned during their formation.

One of the most meaningful moments of the event was the distribution of school supplies by VCS teachers and sponsors, demonstrating the Christian spirit of generosity and service to the children. This initiative served as a reminder that the Churchโ€™s mission extends beyond spiritual formation and includes caring for the practical needs of young people.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Mr. James Roy M. Dusaban, Mission Youth Executive Council President, who expressed gratitude to all the teachers, volunteers, sponsors, parents, and community leaders whose support made the Vacation Church School a success.

As the celebration came to a close, participants departed with grateful hearts and renewed faith, carrying with them the lessons learned and friendships formed throughout the VCS experience. More than a culmination of activities, the event stood as a testament to Godโ€™s faithfulness and the Churchโ€™s continuing commitment to raise children who are rooted in Christ and dedicated to serving others.

To God be all the glory!๐Ÿฅฐ

The 44th Diocesan Summer Youth Camp has already concluded, but the lessons we gained in this 5-day camp will forever be treasured.

First Summer Youth Camp since the establishment of the YIFI Sapao, and this was a great start.

Thank you is not enough to show our appreciation to all those who supported us from the preparation until we returned to our respective homes.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rev. Dcn. Ali B. Dela Cuesta, our Minister-in-charge, for guiding and believing in us. You first trust us before we trust ourselves.

To all of our parents, donors and sponsors, Nalu-oyan and Sapao Chapel Council, old YIFI Nalu-oyan, Nalu-oyan Community Association, Sapao Community, Sapao Barangay Council, LGU Dumangas, and the whole IFI Congregation of Nalu-oyan and Sapao, with grateful hearts and pride, MADAMO GID NGA SALAMAT!

To the campers, may you carry the life lessons you obtain in this camp, and may you embody the true spirit of Kabataang Aglipayano!

This is YIFI SAPAO.

To God be all the Glory!

Isa ka handom, isa ka pagtu-o.
