REGISTER NOW! | On October 3–4, 2026, the Archdiocese of Cebu will hold the 2nd Cebu Metropolitan Catholic Mass Media Congress (CMCMMC) at the Recoletos Coliseum, University of San Jose-Recoletos – Basak Campus, Cebu City.

Carrying the theme, “To Work and To Take Care” (Genesis 2:15), this year's congress places Human Dignity at the Heart of AI Innovation in Media Ministry, drawing inspiration from the recent encyclical of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, Magnifica Humanitas.

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the media landscape, Catholic communicators are called not only to embrace innovation but also to ensure that technology remains at the service of the human person.

While the congress is primarily organized for participants from the Archdiocese of Cebu and its suffragan dioceses, we warmly welcome media ministers, communicators, clergy, religious, and lay faithful from other archdioceses and dioceses who wish to be part of this conversation and mission.

Last Saturday, June 6, 2026, the Diocesan Social Communications Officers and Coordinators gathered at the Marian Priests Center for their regular meeting and planning session. Discussions focused on the review of the Program Plan of Action (PPOA), current developments in Digital Media within the Diocese, and preparations for the 2nd Cebu Metropolitan Catholic Mass Media Awards scheduled on October 3–4, 2026.

The meeting highlighted the Diocese's continuing commitment to effective and mission-driven communication in the digital age.

PARISH LENTEN RECOLLECTION 2026

The Dumaguete Cathedral gears up for its Parish Lenten Recollection. The speakers for the 3-night online recollection are Rev. Fr. John Renil Quiliope, Rev. Fr. Ramonito Maata and Rev. Fr. Hendrix Alar. This will be starting from Holy Monday up to Holy Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

The three-night online recollection will be streamed live via the page of The Dumaguete Cathedral and other Catholic pages.
