Those five words, “love your neighbor as yourself,” are packed with a lifetime of learning, growing, and trusting in Christ through all things. Every human has struggled to love themselves. We all go through seasons of doubts. Am I really worthy of love? I’m the worst! My friends stopped talking to me; there must be something wrong with me. How can I be sure God loves me if I don't even love myself? Precious sibling, when these doubts creep in, read again (and again, and again) the words of Jesus in John 15, “love each other just as I have loved you … I chose you.” And know that you are loved unconditionally, wholly, by the one who created you. As you allow yourself to be enveloped by God’s love for you, may you begin to recognize and share that same love with your neighbor.
