With profound gratitude and joyful hearts, the whole community of Saint Vincent Ferrer Parish (SVFP) joins the entire Vicariate of St. Peter in the celebration of the Vicarial Fiesta 2026.

As we reflect on this year's theme, "Bikaryato ni San Pedro: Nagpanaw sa pagtuo, nagkahiusa sa paglaum, ug nag-alagad sa gugma," may we continue to walk together as one Church—steadfast in faith, united in hope, and devoted to serving one another in Christ-like love. Through the example of St. Peter, may this celebration renew our commitment to live the Gospel faithfully and to become instruments of God's mercy and peace.

May the fruits of this Vicarial Fiesta strengthen our communion and inspire us to continue our mission of serving God and His people with humility and unwavering faith.

United in faith and devotion, the parish youth gathered at Fatima Village for the 8th Novena Mass in honor of Our Lady of Fatima.

A heartfelt thank you to all the youth who generously answered the call to serve in this year’s Summer Catechism.

Your “yes” was not always easy—it meant giving up your time, stepping out of your comfort zones, and choosing to lead and teach with patience and love. Yet, you embraced the mission with courage and joy.

You became more than catechists. You became role models, older siblings in faith, and instruments of God’s love to the young. May this experience continue to shape your hearts and strengthen your commitment to serve. May you always remember that no act of service is ever too small when it is done with love.

Thank you for allowing yourselves to be used in this beautiful mission. We are proud of you, and we pray that you continue to grow as young leaders and faithful servants of Christ. 💛

This gathering is an opportunity for us to come together as one community of faith—renewing our mission, strengthening our knowledge of the teachings of the Church, and deepening our commitment to guide others, especially the youth, in their spiritual journey. As catechists, we are not only teachers, but witnesses of God’s love, called to form hearts and minds rooted in Christ.

With hearts filled with joy and gratitude, we warmly welcome Rev. Msgr. Marino P. Ybo on the blessed occasion of his Rite of Installation as the New Parish Priest of San Vicente Ferrer Parish. He is also assigned as the Episcopal Vicar of the Central District.💙🙏

Our Bishop in the Diocese of Dumaguete, Most Reverend Julito B. Cortes, DD, will preside the Rite of Installation tomorrow in the church.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Tonight, the Church rejoices in the mother of all vigils, the sacred night in which our Lord Jesus Christ passed from death to life. As the Paschal Candle is lifted high, we behold the Light of Christ who scatters the darkness of sin and illumines the hearts of the faithful with the hope of the Resurrection.

May this holy celebration renew in us the grace of our baptism and the joy of Easter faith.

Alleluia! Christ our Hope is risen!
