PRAYER FOR THE DIOCESE OF DUMAGUETE

Heavenly Father, through baptism You have given us new birth. Through Your Son Jesus Christ, You anointed and sealed us with the Holy Spirit in order that we may humbly walk in Your path.
We ask You to bless the Diocese of Dumaguete. Strengthen our Bishop, the Clergy, the Consecrated Persons and the Lay Faithful with Your Spirit. Fill us with Your wisdom to discern the signs of the times, to embark on a renewed evangelization and to actively take part in the renewal and revitalization of the Local Church of Dumaguete.
Send Your Spirit into our lives with the power of a mighty wind that we may respond to the call of building a Christ-centered community journeying to heaven with Mary. Rooted in prayer, united in one heart, and sharing in each other's charisms, may we build a vibrant Eucharistic Ecclesial Community, alive in worship, firm in faith, biblical in teaching, missionary in spirit, mindful of the poor, respectful of creation, sacrificial in serving, and radiating in the joy that comes from the Gospel.
With Mary as our model, and St.
Catherine of Alexandria as our patron interceding for us, may we proclaim Your glory and praise. This we ask you in the Spirit of Your Son who lives and reigns with You forever and ever. Amen.
