๐ŸŒซ๏ธ BE HAZE-AWARE. PROTECT YOUR HEALTH.

Haze can affect air quality and may cause eye, nose, and throat irritation, coughing, difficulty breathing, and other respiratory concernsโ€”especially among children, older adults, pregnant women, and people with existing respiratory conditions.

๐Ÿ’ก Protect yourself and your loved ones:
โ€ข Limit prolonged outdoor activities when haze levels are high.
โ€ข Wear a well-fitting mask when going outdoors.
โ€ข Keep windows and doors closed when the air quality is poor.
โ€ข Stay hydrated and avoid smoking or va**ng.
โ€ข Seek medical attention if you experience persistent difficulty breathing, chest pain, or worsening respiratory symptoms.

Stay informed, stay protected, and prioritize your health.

As part of our continued efforts to help prevent the spread of conjunctivitis (sore eyes), a campus-wide disinfection was conducted to promote a clean, safe, and healthy environment for everyone.

We kindly ask everyone to do their part by practicing good hygiene and taking the necessary precautions to protect our school community.

If you are experiencing symptoms of sore eyes, such as redness of the eyes, itching, irritation, excessive tearing, eye discharge, or swollen eyelids, please stay at home, avoid close contact with others, and seek medical consultation.

Together, we can help keep our community safe and healthy. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation, support, and commitment to preventing the spread of conjunctivitis. ๐Ÿ™

Sore eyes, or conjunctivitis, is an inflammation of the membrane covering the white part of the eye, commonly caused by viral or bacterial infections and allergies. Key signs include redness, a gritty or sandy feeling, and watery or sticky discharge.

Common Signs
-Red or pink color in the white of the eye itching
- burning or a feeling that something is stuck
-Watery eyes or thick yellow/green crusting upon waking up

Prevention Measures
-Wash hands often with soap and clean water for 20 seconds, or use 70% alcohol
-Do not touch or rub your eyes with unwashed hands
-Never share personal items like towels, pillows, eye drops, makeup, or glasses
-Stay away from crowded places or people who have red, irritated eyes

Control and Management Measures
-Apply a cold compress or clean cool cloth to closed eyes for 5 to 10 minutes to lower swelling
-Stop wearing contact lenses and eye makeup until your eyes are completely healed
-Use artificial tears or lubricating drops to soothe dryness, but check with a doctor first
-Wash sheets and pillowcases daily in hot water to kill germs.
