WELCOME TO OUR SUNDAY WORSHIP ✨️ 🤍
DYING TO LIVE
John 12:20-33
Rev. Edgar Longcop
The 33rd day of Lentent is a call for all believers to "die to live" by taking up their cross and trusting God completely preparing for the final week of the Lenten journey. It is time to boast on in the cross of Christ, shifting from self-centeredness to a life of surrender to God's will.
"Dying to live" means sacrificing our desire, old habits, and practices to achieve a more meaningful, purposeful life.
1. Dying to Live (Mark 8:34-35)
Coming to Christ was not an easy decision. It came with real cost, deep struggle, and significant risk.
2. Boasting in the Cross (Galatians 6:14)
Christ is the only source of pride, as it represents the triumph of God's grace and salvation.
3. Trusting God's Direction (Proverbs 3:5-6)
When facing decisions, instead of worrying, we are encouraged to fast and pray, trusting that God knows the best direction.
4. The Power of Prayer
We are reminded to "pray always without losing heart" seeking the vision to recognize God in our daily lives. We are encouraged to persevere in righteousness, knowing that the suffering and discipline are not in vain but lead us to sanctification.
As we approach the end of this holy season, take time to pray, reflect on your Christian journey, and trust God in tranforming your heart.
God bless you 🙌 🤍.
