🌸✨ FLORES DE MAYO CULMINATION 2026 ✨🌸

With hearts full of gratitude and joy, the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish successfully concluded the Flores de Mayo Culmination 2026 held on May 31, 2026. This meaningful celebration served as a Fund Raising Activity for our ongoing Church Construction through the search for Reyna Elena and Constantine 2026.

Prior to the culmination program, a Holy Mass was celebrated and presided over by our beloved Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Alejandro S. Abelido Jr. Following the Mass, the participants took part in the traditional Flores de Mayo Sagala, a prayerful procession around the communities of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Father Alejandro for his unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement throughout this activity and the entire month-long celebration of Flores de Mayo. Your dedication to our parish community continues to inspire us all.

ANNOUNCEMENT || FLORES DE MAYO 2026

Rooted in centuries-old Catholic tradition, Flores de Mayo is a cherished devotion introduced during the Spanish colonial period, honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary through daily offerings of flowers and the praying of the Holy Rosary throughout the month of May. This practice reflects the deep Marian faith of the Filipino people, uniting communities in reverence, beauty, and prayer.

In this spirit, the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Cabacungan, Dulag, Leyte, cordially invites the faithful to participate in Flores de Mayo, from May 1 to May 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

All are encouraged to bring their own rosary and take part in this solemn and time-honored devotion, as we offer our prayers and petitions through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

May this sacred observance renew our faith, strengthen our devotion, and draw us ever closer to Christ through His Most Holy Mother.

APRIL 4, 2026 || EASTER VIGIL MASS

“Alleluia! The Lord is risen, as He promised. Alleluia!”

With hearts filled with joy and hope, our parish community gathered for the Easter Vigil at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish—the most sacred and solemn celebration of the Church.

From the blessing of the new fire and the lighting of the Paschal Candle, we were reminded that Christ is our Light, triumphing over darkness and death. As the Exsultet was proclaimed and the Word of God was shared, we journeyed through salvation history, witnessing God’s enduring love for His people.

The celebration of the Resurrection filled the church with renewed life, as we joyfully proclaimed that Christ has risen. In this holy night, we were invited to renew our faith and embrace the promise of new beginnings through Him.

Following the Vigil, the faithful also witnessed the meaningful tradition of the “Sugat,” where the Risen Christ meets His Blessed Mother Mary. This beautiful encounter symbolized the end of sorrow and the beginning of joy—reminding us of the hope and victory brought by the Resurrection.

May the light of the Risen Christ continue to shine in our hearts, guiding us in faith, hope, and love.
