“KARARAG TI PAGILIAN PARA ITI PANNAKALAWAG, PANAGBALBALIW KEN PANNAKAPABRO.”

CBCP issues “A Nation’s Prayer for Enlightenment, Conversion and Renewal,” with approved translations in Tagalog, Bicolano, Binisaya, Ilocano and Ilonggo, following approval during the CBCP Permanent Council meeting on May 20, 2026.

The CBCP Permanent Council said the prayer will be recited beginning Pentecost Sunday and continuing at least through July, according to the CBCP General Secretariat.

Gladden us with holy joys, almighty God, and make us rejoice with devout thanksgiving, for the Ascension of Christ your Son is our exaltation, and, where the Head has gone before in glory, the Body is called to follow in hope.
