JAMC Dipolog

JAMC Dipolog JAMC Dipolog was born out of prayers and the dedication of a small group of individuals. On the scheduled meeting of Bishop Ronald Bilang, Ptr. Ptr.

A Local Evangelical Christian Church in Dipolog City, under SGCM-JAMC Philippines (Sea Gentiles for Christ Ministries - Jesus And My Church), member of PCEC (Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches). In August 2017, five young individuals namely, Nikki Ebillo, Lester Triambulo, Bryne Angelo Brillantes, Jacqueline Dawis, and Claudette Ann Sayson, led by the founding leader of SGCM Zamboanga, Bis

hop Ronald Bilang together with Ptr. Daryl Barrios gathered to discuss the possibility of establishing a new church. Driven by their faith and commitment to Christ, the group persevered and the church of JAMC Dipolog started. Prior to the official launching of the church, four of these Christian individuals were classmates in law school. By sharing the same heart for Jesus, Nikki took an initiative and formed a life-group with them. With the passion in their hearts, Bible study was made and in the effort of Nikki, she shared the gospel of Christ to friends of her friends that is within Dipolog City. Daryl Barrios and the life-group of Nikki in a restaurant were the key turning points included the addition of influential leaders like Jacqueline Dawis, a Social Worker from a town of Rizal, an hour bus ride to Dipolog City. It was God who orchestrated that very moment for JAMC Dipolog’s conception. She was supposed to go to that restaurant only to eat but was surprised to notice that her leaders when she was still studying in Zamboanga were in the same place. She then approached their table, then Bishop Ronald Bilang casted the vision of the church and encourages these people believing that they can create a great difference in this city. This created a profound impact on the lives to the soon-to-be church leaders in Dipolog. A month after, Ptr. Daryl Barrios returned in Dipolog for two weeks to equip the leaders, shared the gospel, and prepare them for a great undertaking – the first Worship Service. The plan was to hold a once-a-month service. The first worship service was held on the 2nd floor of the Citihomestay Bldg., or better known as Altissimo Café. A number of people were gathered in which it goes beyond what was expected. But God has a different plan for the church. The once-a-month service turned to every Sunday service. The challenge now is in the shoulders of these young leaders but through the grace of God and the unwavering commitment of the servants from different church locations, the struggle was easily lifted. Joseph John Panes, a former Worship Catalyst mentor of SGCM Zamboanga together with Ptr. Renan Navarro and Emarson Yarte of SGCM Liloy and SGCM RT Lim travelled all the way to Dipolog every Sunday for three to four hours to preach the Word of God and to aide the need of a music team. The Sunday worship service continued, and it was not the same when the month of November of the same year was about to end. Ian Soriño was installed as the lead pastor of JAMC Dipolog. A familiar face in Dipolog City, where he had previously pursued his college education and begun his professional career, Ptr. Ian was uniquely positioned to lead the church and guide its continued growth. Under his leadership, the church established various ministries and programs aimed at meeting the spiritual and practical needs of its members. JAMC Dipolog fostered a strong emphasis on spiritual growth and discipleship. The church established discipleship programs to equip members with the tools and knowledge they needed to deepen their relationship with Christ. From the outset, the church was also committed to serving the community by engaging in various outreach activities, visiting families, and providing spiritual guidance to those in need. These efforts strengthen the connection of each disciples’ relationship to God and develop the heart of a servant by reaching out local communities. One year after, it was on the 28th of October 2018 when JAMC Dipolog were officially launched. In a short period of time, the church already faced various challenges, including financial difficulties and time constraints for its members. However, the church has consistently overcome every obstacle through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit and the enablement of God. All by God’s grace that everyone endures, and the pressures of a starting church has been faced with unwavering faith. The church’s ability to persevere in the face of adversity is a testament to its resilience and faith. JAMC Dipolog has grown into a thriving community of faith, dedicated to spreading the Gospel and making a positive impact on the society. Through its commitment to spiritual growth, community outreaches, and discipleship, the church has become an integral part of the community of Dipolog. As JAMC Dipolog continues to grow and evolve, it remains steadfast in its mission to know Christ more and make Him known.
