The Blessed Virgin Mary is venerated under this title following the apparitions to three shepherd children in Portugal in 1917.

The message of Fatima includes a call to conversion of heart, repentance from sin, and dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary, especially through praying the Rosary.

We celebrate the 𝟑𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐛𝐲𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 of our beloved bishop, 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐂. 𝐂𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞—graced on this very day of the Feast of the Divine Mercy.

Bishop Ver's own words remind us of the beauty and truth of his priesthood: that everything is grace… everything is mercy. For thirty years, he has stood at the altar with hands that may have known weariness, yet always open to serve. He has proclaimed the Word of God with a heart that has experienced both strength and weakness, yet remained faithful in answering a calling far greater than oneself.

His life teaches us that priesthood is never about human perfection, but about God’s mercy working through our limitations. In his humility, we see a priest who does not rely on his own strength, but one who trusts completely in the Lord who called him.

He continues to say, “Jesus, misalig ako Kanimo”, in every joy, in every trial, in every moment of his ministry. And because of this, he has become a living witness that God is always faithful.

Thank you, Bishop Ver, for your quiet courage, your sincere love, and your unwavering trust in God. Through your life, many have come to believe more deeply in the mercy of the Lord.

As you celebrate this blessed day, we join you in prayer, with grateful and humble hearts, asking the Lord to continue to strengthen you, renew you, and fill you with His grace.

On this RED WEDNESDAY today, let us remember a persecution the world rarely talks about — the silent, hidden suffering of our brothers and sisters in Nigeria RIGHT NOW.

In Nigeria now, Christians live in daily fear. Churches are burned. Families are attacked. And even priests, who simply offer the sacraments and preach the Gospel, are kidnapped and brutally killed. Their blood cries out to the world, yet so often, the world remains silent.

Today, we stand with them.
We remember them.
And we lift them up in prayer:

Let us pray: Lord, protect our Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria. Strengthen their faith, comfort their families, and bring peace to their land. May the blood of the martyrs become the seed of hope and healing. Amen.
