𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐇-𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐒 | 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐨 𝐬𝐚 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨

An initiative of the Dipolog Cathedral Catechists, Katesismo sa Domingo is a weekly commitment to bring catechesis closer to the parish community.

Every Sunday, our catechists generously give their time to teach, accompany, and nurture the faith of God’s people—helping them grow in a deeper understanding of the Holy Mass and the Eucharist, and in living out their faith beyond the celebration.

Catechesis is not limited to the school or classroom—it is a mission of the Church that continues within the parish and the wider community.

Thank you to our catechists for continuously saying “𝘺𝘦𝘴” to this mission and for sharing their time, knowledge, and faith in service to God and His people.

𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟰 | 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀
𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Another meaningful day of learning and growing in faith! 💛

For our Session 4, our participants learned about the Sign of the Cross and the Holy Trinity—understanding the meaning behind the prayer we begin and end our prayers with, and knowing more about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit: one God in three Persons.

May this simple gesture become more than just a familiar prayer, but a beautiful reminder of God’s presence and love in our daily lives.

A heartfelt thank you to our speaker, Ate Cathleya Sumilay, for sharing her time, knowledge, and faith with our young learners. May God bless you abundantly for helping nurture their faith.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬!

Today, we celebrate the beautiful vocation of every catechist: the men and women who generously give their time, share their faith, and open their hearts to lead others closer to Jesus.

To our beloved Dipolog Cathedral Catechists and to all catechists around the world, this day is for you.

Thank you for every lesson patiently shared, every child lovingly guided, every prayer whispered, and every sacrifice offered in the name of Christ. Thank you for showing up even when the journey is not easy, for teaching not only through words but also through the witness of your lives.

Your ministry may not always be seen, but the seeds of faith you plant can grow in hearts for a lifetime. Every prayer, every effort, and every act of love matters in God's eyes.

Sa mga katekistang sa bawat aral, nagtatanim ng pananampalataya; at sa bawat paglilingkod, naghahatid ng pag-ibig ni Kristo, maraming salamat!

May the Lord bless every catechist with a heart that never grows tired of loving, a faith that never stops growing, and a spirit that continues to say YES to His call.

May He reward your generosity, strengthen you in moments of weariness, and remind you that you are never alone in this mission. May the Blessed Mother accompany you always as you bring the light of Christ to His people.

To every catechist who serves with love, thank you for being a living reminder that faith is meant to be shared.

Your YES matters. Your service matters. Your love matters.

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Another meaningful Saturday of learning and growing in faith for our learners!

In Session 3, our young participants explored the beautiful gift of love with Kuya Rom. They learned about the different types of love and, most importantly, discovered how these forms of love point us to the greatest love of all: God’s unconditional and everlasting love. ❤️

As they continue preparing to receive Jesus in Holy Communion, may our little ones grow not only in their knowledge of the faith but also in their ability to love God and others.

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Another meaningful Saturday, another step forward in our journey of faith! ✨

For our second session, our participants went beyond the usual “Hi, I’m…” and took the time to know each other a little deeper through our introduction activity. We listened, shared, and discovered the beautiful stories behind every name and face.

More than just introducing ourselves, we had the opportunity to share a little about who we are, what we are grateful for, what we hope for, and what we believe we can achieve through our “Salamat • Sana • Kaya” sharing.

A warm thank you, Ate Ellen, for being with us as our speaker and for sharing your wisdom, energy, and beautiful message!

To everyone who joined us, thank you for making Day 2 another meaningful moment of learning, sharing, and growing together.

A big, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who joined our 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 today!

To our learners, parents, guardians, and catechists—thank you for showing up and making our first gathering full of joy, energy, and faith.

It was wonderful finally seeing the faces behind the names and beginning this journey together. From the introductions to getting to know one another, today reminded us that faith can bring us together, even through a screen.
