Recently, the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan announced the commencement of the Cause of Beatification and Canonization of Bishop Cesar Ma. Guerrero who is now also called a "Servant of God." A friend of the Capuchin friars ever since his youth even to his studies in Rome, he is known to the brothers as a "zealous bishop" and invited the Capuchins in their ministry in Pampanga, Tarlac, and Pangasinan during the 20th century. He, too, is a member of the Franciscan Order as a Tertiary. There are times he would wear the Franciscan habit aside from the vestments entitled to his episcopacy. The chronicle of the Capuchins writes of his holy death in 1961.

Let us pray that this great Son of Saint Francis may be raised to the altars. Pax et bonum!
