Still the Seat of St. Peter remains vacant, SEDE VACANTE. Let us continue our prayer!

FUMUS NIGER!

Sede Vacante. No pope has been chosen. The black smoke rises from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel around late 2am to early 3am (Ph Time), a sign to the faithful that the See of Peter remains empty. Extra omnes! The world waits in hope, as the College of Cardinals continues in sacred deliberation within the chapel walls, seeking the one whom the Holy Spirit has chosen.

Let us, the faithful, unite in fervent prayer for the Cardinal Electors that they may discern the gentle whisper of the Spirit amidst the silence of the conclave.

Veni, Sancte Spiritus.

As we await the fumus albus, let us lift our hearts in unity:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
and enkindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.
And You shall renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray.
O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit,
did instruct the hearts of the faithful,
grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise
and ever enjoy His consolations,
through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Today, the first day of the sacred Conclave, the Parish Youth Ministry Officers gathered in faith and hope as we prayed the Chaplet to the Holy Spirit for the Papal Conclave. May the Cardinal Electors be attentive to the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit in choosing our new pope, a shepherd after God's own heart.

BREAKING NEWS! Since today, Ascension Sunday, is the 57th WORLD DAY OF SOCIAL COMMUNICATIONS, we present to you the OFFICIAL logo of the Social Communications Apostolate of our diocese -- the SoCADD!

Let us explain the official logo:

▪︎ SoCADD stands for: Social Communications Apostolate of the Diocese of Dipolog.

▪︎ The logo has all the four colors found in the Coat of Arms of our diocese: Blue, Gold, White, and Red.

▪︎ The word 'SoCADD' can be read and understood in two ways:
A. /SoC-ADD/ -- meaning, thru 'SoC' (Social Communications), it is our mission to bring people close to God to be able to 'ADD' more sheep to His flock.
B. /Sukad/ -- meaning, to 'serve the food', that is: we serve the Word of God to the people hungry for the 'Bread of Life' (Jesus our Lord) thru our social media platform, the Diocese of Dipolog page and the official pages of our different parishes.

▪︎ The 'COMPUTER SCREEN' on the logo explains the tools we use to preach the Word of God, that is, our laptops and phones. The 'FISHING NET CATCHING SOME FISH' on the logo means that our mission is to 'catch' people, meaning, to rescue them from sin, help them change their lives, bring them close to God, and make them do good. The 'WIFI SIGNAL' on the logo represents the graces of God which we necessarily need in order for us to be inspired and motivated to do His mission.

So, you can pronounce it either as SOC-ADD or SUKAD.

▪︎ It is very timely because in our Gospel today, our Lord instructed us to: "go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have ever commanded you" with the assurance that "I am with you always".

Our sixth session was about 'MARY on: IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, MOTHER OF GOD, and PERPETUAL VIRGINITY, and it was well explained by our speaker, SIS. WILMA VELASCO, a brilliant Mariologist. It was then deepened with a reflection by our Parish Administrator Father Dags.

Next Sunday, March 19, our topic will be 'TRUE CHURCH AND PLEDGES', to be explained by Bro. Nicholai Luceños. Kita kits! 😍
