WHAT’S TO COME & HOW TO PREPARE
As Followers of Jesus

The Bible is clear: “The Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons.” 1 Timothy 4:1

What’s to come?
1. Deception
2. False Doctrine will increase
3. People listening to doctrines of demons
4. A Falling Away from faith

It’s happening. Everything is slowly unfolding before our eyes.

But remember Jesus’ promise:
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.” John 16:23
“Your heart shall rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” John 16:22

How do we PREPARE?
1. Prepare your SPIRIT - Get right with God while you still have time to Repent!
2. Prepare your HOUSEHOLD - Spend time with them as long as you can. Lead them to Jesus.
3. Prepare your BODY - Live and eat healthy. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

We must be ready — mind, body, and soul.

While waiting for our Blessed Hope, we should not be caught up in FEAR...
But in ANTICIPATION and EXCITEMENT that JESUS IS REAL and that He is coming very soon!

Fix your eyes on Jesus our Blessed Hope. Stand for Him till the end.
Remember His promise: “I will not leave you nor forsake you.” Heb 13:5

The ground didn’t become holy because of the place. It became holy because of Who was standing there.

And God told Joshua: "Take off your sandals."

That’s still His invitation to us.Take off the habits that weigh you down.Take off the cares that choke your faith.Take off the mold of the world.Take off pride. Take off bitterness.Take off the things the world taught you to wear.

Because you can’t immerse in the fullness of God while clinging to the things of the world.

Holiness costs something. But His presence is worth every sacrifice.

This is holy ground. And His calling you in.

“The commander of the Lord's army replied, 'Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy” Joshua 5:15 “

There are nights where we really don’t know what to do.
The mind is full. heart is tired.
But 2 Chronicles 20:12 taught us;
“We don’t know what to do… but our eyes are on You.”

God doesn’t answer in panic.
He answers in tears.
He doesn’t send you to battle alone. He gives you family, church, people who will pray with you.

When you don’t know what to do: (Read 2 Chron. 20)
1. Pray with a humble heart
2. Go to spiritual battle with your church family
3. Praise before and after the win

So breathe. Pray. Reach out. Praise even before the breakthrough.
Because Jesus is still The Way when you’re lost. God never leaves you to fight alone.

And He always shows us the way. “This is the way, walk in it.” Isaias 30:21

Jesus is the only way the truth and life. John 14:6

The Journey of a Faithful Bride
Ruth 1:16-17

Can I be honest?
Following Jesus isn’t always straight and easy.

There are seasons where you pray and nothing happens.
Seasons where you lose people.
Seasons where you’re tired, and no one even sees how hard you’re trying.
Seasons where you just want to go back to your old life.

God gets it.
He knows it.

He’s faithful, even when we’re not. 2 Tim 2:13
And He’s looking for people who will be faithful back. Not perfect. Just people who stay.

The Bible shows us this in Ruth.
God the Father chose her. John 6:44

And she went through it:
1. Loss - husband gone, money gone. Ever felt like problems started the moment you got serious with God? Same.
2. Pressure - Naomi told her “go home.” Her family probably said the same. But Ruth said, “Where you go, I go. Your God is my God.” Ruth 1:16
3. Unseen work - She showed up to glean every day before Boaz even noticed her. Col 3:23 - Do it for God, not for applause.
4. A choice - Orpah left. Ruth stayed. God won’t force you. He gives you the freedom to stay or walk away.

But Ruth stayed.
And because she stayed, God provided.
Food she didn’t work for. A home she didn’t build. People who helped her. Deut 6:11
And more than that she ended up with Boaz. The one who covered her.

That’s Jesus.
He’s the Bread of Life. John 6:35
He sees you before you see Him.
And He’s preparing a place for you. John 14:2-3

Remember:
God chose you. John 6:44
He will keep you. John 6:39
And He will reward you. James 1:12

So if you’re in a testing season right now, don’t quit. Get up. Stay.

“He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion.” - Phil 1:6

And one day you’ll hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” - Matt 25:21

God didn’t promise no trials.
He promised, “I’m with you till the end.”

Stay faithful. It’s worth it.

1 Peter 2:9-10

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
