May 23, 2026 | DIOCESAN CHARIS PENTECOST CELEBRATION
The Diocese of Digos celebrated the Diocesan Charis Pentecost Celebration yesterday, May 23, 2026 at the Fatima Center, Digos City. The gathering brought together the Charis Community to reflect, worship, and experience a renewed outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
The PREX Family in the Diocese of Digos, led by our active and energetic Diocesan PREX Core President Ate Jeanita Bangay, joined the Charis Pentecost Celebration. What a beautiful and spirit-filled celebration as we gathered to commemorate Pentecost Sunday! We experienced a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit—the very same Spirit that empowers us to go forth, share the Good News, and renew the face of the earth.
The Pentecost Celebration was a vivid reminder that the Holy Spirit is alive and moving in our local Church filled with grace, wisdom, and new zeal, we are now unleashed to transform our communities.
As we celebrate Pentecost today, we are reminded that just as on the day of the first Christian Pentecost, the Church is always alive with the manifestations and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through the more than two millennia of the Church’s history, there has never been a single moment the Holy Spirit abandoned the Church. This is why in the Apostles Creed, the Church professes her faith saying, “I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church...” The Holy Spirit is that promise of Christ to the Church and the divine guarantee that the Church will remain true to the end of time. I pray that today's Pentecost celebration renew us and fill our hearts with the love and the power of the Holy Spirit.
As we celebrate the "Birthday of the Church," let us carry this renewed faith, boldness, and love into our parishes, families, and daily missions.
