Practice Self-Control

What should prevail — instinct or insight?
Insight should prevail over instinct.
Instinct reacts quickly through emotions or desires, while insight brings wisdom, understanding, and careful judgment.

The Life of Samson
The story of Samson is found in Book of Judges chapters 13–16.

Who gave birth to Samson?
Samson’s mother was chosen and blessed by God, but her name was not mentioned in the Bible.
(See Judges 13)

1. Master Your Emotions
Samson was physically strong but often struggled to control his emotions and desires.
Uncontrolled anger, pride, and temptation can lead to poor decisions.

2. Mind Your Witnesses
Our actions influence others.
We should live carefully and with integrity because people watch and learn from our example.

Key Verse:
"Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city." — Proverbs 16:32 (NIV)

“REJECTIONS”

John 4:3-18

3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
5 Then cometh he to a ciGOLD CMI - LagunaiGOLD CMI PHd Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

📖 James 1:19–20
“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”

🔥 “Conquer Anger” (4 R )

1. Realize – Acknowledge when anger becomes toxic. Hindi lahat ng galit ay tama—kailangan mo itong makita at aminin.

2. Root – Alamin ang pinagmumulan ng galit (hurt, pride, stress). Healing starts when you identify the cause.

3. Recalibrate – I-align ang puso sa Diyos. Piliin ang magpatawad at magpakumbaba instead of reacting in anger.

4. Recognize – Magtiwala sa purpose ni God. Let Him guide your response, because His way leads to righteousness—not anger.

💡 Summary:
Control anger by listening more, speaking less, and trusting God. Ang tunay na pagbabago nanggagaling sa puso na naka-align sa Kanya.

Message: Luke 10:41–42
“And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

✨ “The Distracted Heart”

1. Identify your distraction
A distracted heart is one that is overwhelmed by many concerns, just like Martha. These distractions are not always bad—but they can pull your focus away from what truly matters, especially your relationship with God.
👉 Lesson: Recognize what is consuming your time, energy, and attention.

2. Choose the better portion
Mary chose to sit and listen to Jesus—He called this the “good part” (or “better portion”). This represents prioritizing spiritual growth, presence, and connection with God over busyness.
👉 Lesson: Not everything urgent is important. Choose what is eternal.

3. Learn to set for yourself (set boundaries / priorities)
This means learning to set limits, slow down, and intentionally prioritize what truly matters. Martha wasn’t wrong for serving—but she lost balance.
👉 Lesson: Create space in your life for God by setting clear priorities and boundaries.

🧠 Simple Summary
A “distracted heart” is:
Being so busy with life that you lose focus on what matters most—your connection with God.

“I HOLD THE BEAT” (Hawak ko ang BEAT)

1. Believe – Blessed is the one who believes even without seeing Me.
2. Endure – Strengthening faith through perseverance (James 1:12).
3. Align – Reading the Bible and living according to it.
4. Trust – Having complete trust in the Lord.

The message of “BEAT” teaches that a strong Christian life is built on four key foundations: believing in God even without physical proof (faith), enduring trials because they strengthen us, aligning our lives with God’s Word through obedience, and fully trusting Him in all circumstances.

Just like in James 1:12, those who remain steadfast during trials are promised the “crown of life.” This reminds us that challenges are not meant to break us but to deepen our faith. True faith is not just believing—it is living according to God’s will and trusting His plan, even when we don’t fully understand it.

- Proverbs 4:23

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

How to overcome negative

1. Build the Wall of Praise

In the Christian life, praise is powerful. When you choose to praise God—even when your thoughts feel heavy—you shift your focus from problems to His goodness. Negative thinking often grows when we dwell on fear, doubt, or lack. But praise reminds you of who God is: faithful, loving, and in control.
The Bible shows that praise can break chains (like in Acts 16). When you worship, you invite God’s presence into your mind and heart. Praise replaces negativity with gratitude and faith.
👉 Practice: Start your day by thanking God, even for small things. Speak His promises out loud.

2. Build the Wall of Prayers

Prayer is your direct connection to God. Instead of letting negative thoughts stay inside your mind, release them through prayer. Tell God your worries, fears, and doubts—He cares about all of them.
Through prayer, God gives peace that guards your heart and mind (Philippians 4:6–7). When you constantly talk to Him, negative thinking loses its power because you’re not carrying burdens alone.
👉 Practice: When a negative thought comes, immediately turn it into a prayer like, “Lord, help me trust You in this situation.”

3. Build the Wall of Purity

Purity in a Christian sense means guarding what you allow into your heart and mind—your thoughts, what you watch, listen to, and entertain. Negative thinking often comes from what we feed our minds.
When you choose purity, you align your thoughts with God’s truth. Replace lies with His Word. Focus on things that are good, true, and uplifting (Philippians 4:8).
👉 Practice: Be intentional with your environment—limit negative influences and spend more time reading the Bible or listening to worship.

To God be the Glory. Blessed Sunday to everyone 🙏

ARE YOU READY?
ARE WE ALL READY?

📖 Gospel of Matthew 24:44 (KJV)
“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

📖 First Epistle to the Thessalonians 4:16–17 (KJV)
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Many Christians, when asked if they are truly saved, tend to hesitate and think deeply. They cannot immediately answer, “Yes, I am saved.” But what if the rapture happens tomorrow—will we be included?
Only you can truly answer that, because only God knows your heart. You may have shared or received the Lord before, but was it genuine?
If the rapture happens and you are left behind, you will experience the tribulation. Is it still possible to be saved? Yes—but it will be extremely difficult because of what you will go through during that time.
So while it is still early and you still have the chance here on earth—while salvation is still fully available—obey and accept Christ as our Lord and Savior.
