A Catholic devotion in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to offer reparations for sins to the Blessed Sacrament and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary to offer an act of reparation for blasphemies against Mary's Immaculate Conception, virginity, maternity, and images, as well as the neglect of teaching children about her.
The devotion is often paired with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, aiming to lead souls to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary's intercession. 🙏

A day after celebrating the Feast of St. Francisco Marto, we remember his simple and radical desire:
“I don’t want to be anything. I want to die and go to Heaven.”

In this season of Lent, we are invited to purify our intentions. Through prayer, fasting, and sacrifice, we detach from what fades and fix our hearts on what lasts forever.

May this Lent realign our desires and remind us that every small offering should lead us closer to eternity.

🌿A special invite to all parishioners and faithful on Ash Wednesday, 18 February 2026:

▪️As we start the holy season of Lent, we congenially invite all parishioners and families to join us in the celebration of Ash Wednesday, a solemn and significant day that marks the start of our 40-day journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving and preparation for Easter.

▪️On this holy day, we receive ashes on our foreheads in the shape of a cross, as a sign of conversion and a beautiful reminder of our continued call to repentance.

▪️Let us join together as one faithful parish community, to prepare ourselves spiritually and interiorly for the passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ash Wednesday 🙏

The imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday is a sacramental act marking the start of Lent; symbolizing mortality, repentance, and sorrow for sin.

It is an outward sign of inward penance where ashes—made from previous Palm Sunday palms—are placed on the forehead to signify:

1. Human Mortality: "Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return". - Genesis 3:19

2. Repentance & Conversion: A call to "Turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel".
- Mark 1:15

3. Penance & Humility: A sign of grief for sins and a desire for spiritual renewal.

"Return to me with all your heart" - Joel 2:12-13
