Maundy Thursday marks the night of the Last Supper, where Jesus shared His final meal with His disciples. The word "Maundy" comes from the Latin ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ข๐ต๐ถ๐ฎ, or "command," referring to the new commandment Jesus gave us: to love one another as He has loved us.
On this sacred night, Jesus instituted the Eucharist, forever changing the meaning of bread and wine. He offered the ๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐๐๐จ ๐ฝ๐ค๐๐ฎ, broken for our spiritual nourishment, and the ๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐จ ๐๐๐จ ๐ฝ๐ก๐ค๐ค๐, the New Covenant poured out for the forgiveness of our sins. Through this meal, Jesus showed us that He remains truly present with us, offering His very life as a sacrifice. As we reflect on the Last Supper, let us remember His profound humility and the gift of His eternal love. ๐๐ท๐
