“Di na po namin isasama pauwi ang Mahal na Birhen. Regalo po ng Obispo, regalo po sa bawat isa, regalo po ng pananampalataya kasi kung panong bumisita kami dito nakita pa namin ang pananampalataya sa inyo at yun po ang aming babaonin.”

During the Closing Holy Mass, Rev. Fr. Idris Francisco revealed the beautiful surprise that the Image of the Mahal na Birhen will remain here in the Archdiocese of Davao.

What a beautiful way to conclude the four-day Pilgrimage Visit of the Image of Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje- Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage in the local church of Davao.

What began as a four-day visit has now become a lasting presence. She came to visit, but she will remain to journey with us.

DAY 2 | PILGRIMAGE VISIT OF OUR LADY OF PEACE AND GOOD VOYAGE

The pilgrimage of Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje — Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, Our Lady of Antipolo — continues its journey through the Archdiocese of Davao on its second day, August 8, 2026.

Under the theme “Paglalakbay, Pag-aakay, Pag-aalay,” the Pilgrim Image will continue to journey among the faithful, giving communities across Davao the opportunity to gather in the Holy Eucharist, prayer, and veneration as we celebrate the 400th Anniversary of her arrival in the Philippines.

On Day 2, the pilgrimage will visit the St. Francis Xavier Regional Major Seminary of Mindanao in Catalunan Grande, the Immaculate Conception Parish in Mintal, and Sto. Rosario Parish in Toril.

Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje (Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage) is one of the oldest and most beloved Marian titles in the Philippines. The sacred image arrived in the country in 1626 aboard a Spanish galleon and was entrusted to the care of the Jesuits in Antipolo. For centuries, missionaries, sailors, travelers, and pilgrims have sought her maternal protection before every journey, believing that through her intercession, God grants safe passage and lasting peace.

In 1926, the image was solemnly Canonically Crowned, recognizing the deep devotion of the Filipino faithful and the many favors attributed to her intercession. As the Church celebrates the 400th anniversary of her arrival in the Philippines and the 100th anniversary of her Canonical Coronation, the Pilgrimage Visit invites us to entrust to Mary not only our travels, but also the journey of our faith, our families, and our nation.

The Pilgrim Image will visit the Archdiocese of Davao from August 7 to 10, 2026, bringing this special jubilee celebration to our local Church. We are especially blessed that Sto. Rosario Parish, Toril has been chosen as one of the host parishes. We joyfully welcome our Dear Mother on Saturday, August 8, 2026, and invite everyone to come, celebrate the Holy Masses, venerate the Pilgrim Image, and entrust your intentions to her loving maternal care.

“Paglalakbay. Pag-aakay. Pag-aalay.” May every step of this pilgrimage draw us closer to Jesus Christ through the loving guidance and intercession of Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje.

SOLEMNITY OF SAINTS JOACHIM AND ANNE❤️

Today, we joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Joachim and Anne, the beloved grandparents of Jesus Christ and faithful witnesses of God's enduring promise. Their lives remind us that faith is a precious inheritance, nurtured within the family and passed on from one generation to the next.

"One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts."
— Psalm 145:4

May their example inspire our families to grow in faith, hope, and love, and may their prayers strengthen all parents, grandparents, and those entrusted with forming future generations in Christ.

Yesterday, July 11, 2026, we gathered for our monthly Mass Collectors' meeting—a meaningful time to reflect on and evaluate our service to the Lord while discussing upcoming activities that will continue to strengthen our unity as one family of Christ's servants.

We also joyfully celebrated God's gift of life by honoring our fellow Mass Collectors who celebrated their birthdays, sharing prayers, blessings, and fellowship. Most especially, we warmly welcomed our new Youth Mass Collectors as they begin their journey of service with us. May the Lord continue to guide, strengthen, and inspire each one of us as we faithfully serve His Church with humble and joyful hearts.

The waters once again became a place of prayer, thanksgiving, and celebration as we took part in La Flotilla 2026 in honor of Saint Peter the Apostle.

This long-standing tradition reminds us that faith continues to guide and unite our community, just as the sea has sustained generations before us.

Beyond the vibrant procession lies a deeper message of hope, devotion, and service. May this celebration encourage us to remain faithful in every season of life, carrying Christ's love wherever we go.
