I am the vine; you are the branches (John 15:5).

The gathering this month of May began with sharing and listening. Like today’s Gospel verse highlighting connectedness, each one relates with one another’s reflection. We all share in the truth that Jesus is the source of life and energy in our journey of faith. Our oneness with Him is the only way to bear fruit as Christians.

The Adoration follows, then the send off of our BSVC Davao Chapter member Bro Eherson, who is about to join the Sacramentino Postulancy formation this year. May God continue to bless us with more vocations, and inspire vitality and vigor in our brotherhood.

Jesus said to them: Come follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (Mt. 4:19)

In the Holy Hour today, lead by Bro Eherson Otoc, the Gospel verse of Matthew became the source of deep spiritual insights. Bro. Caesar Ian Benablo shared that being called means to be an instrument, which is effective only by being a living example. Living out the Gospel truly draws more people towards God. It is challenging, but for Bro Jonas Christy Sarco, to be fishers of men, the uncertainties and struggles of mission nurture our trust in the Lord. Therefore, the call to follow God, is likewise a call of faith, trust, and confidence in Him.

To complete the afternoon, BSVC Davao Chapter attendees adored Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. There, we recognized that being drawn to Jesus in the Holy Eucharist also meant being sent forth as His sacraments to the world.

Today, BSVC Davao Chapter members, under the guidance of Fr. Jessie Argoncillo, gathered together for a meaningful recollection. The reflection and sharing were grounded on Jesus as The Bread of Life (Jn. 6:35). Every person needs Jesus in the journey of faith. He is the Eucharistic Food that sustains every faithful walking towards Eternal Life. Being the Bread is not only His identity, but also His call to mission for those who partake.

That Holy Hour was followed by a meeting discussing about the plans for the Chapter’s monthly activities, and other concerns.

The gathering was concluded by a hearty lunch. Certainly, the coming together today nourished us both spiritually and physically.

BSVC Davao celebrate the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time and the Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica in Rome.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D., Archbishop of Davao, held at the Atrium of NCCC Mall VP.

The Blessed Sacrament Vocation Club - Davao Chapter took part in promoting vocations by joining the event, Gallery of Saints Year 6: “Mga Santos: Paglaum sa mga Piniliang Pagpanaw.” Honoring our beloved Patron Saint, St. Peter Julian Eymard, whose life and example continue to inspire our Eucharistic vocation.

They ended the day with a vocation talk shared by our postulant, Brother Calvin, who spoke about his journey and deep devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. His sharing resonated with everyone, as many could relate to the experiences he encountered towards religious life.
