SOW- GMC STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Holy Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit and is the only basis of truth and Christian living.(2Tim.3:16) We believe that the Word of God has all the power to change and to make our lives fruitful and become a real blessing to all the peoples of the earth.(1Pet. 1:23, Mk. 4:20)
We believe in the Holy Trinity that the Father, our Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit are One God.(1Jn. 5:7) We believe that Jesus is the spoken Word of the Father and was with Him from the very beginning, same Word that became flesh and was conceived by a virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit and lived among men.(Jn. 1:1-3,14, Lk. 1:35)
We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the only begotten Son of God, the only Savior of humanity and that through Him we received spiritual adoption and by believing in Him we were called sons of the Most High.(Mk. 1:1, Jn. 1:12) We believe that He was 100% man who experienced hardships, sufferings and tempted yet without sin and died for our sin, and in three days He rose again showing us that He has the power over sin and death. (Heb. 2:18, 2Cor. 5:21, Rom. 6:10,14:9), He ascended into heaven and seated at the right hand of the Father and has the full authority and power above all creation (seen & unseen) that only a God can do.(Eph. 1:21-22)
We believe that man is condemned already because of sin and is going to die in hell.(Rom. 6:23) We believe that only by grace through faith in Christ Jesus a man can be saved.(Eph. 2:8) A life of obedience to God’s will is the fruit of his salvation.(Rom. 6:16)
We believe that all believers must be baptized in water for the forgiveness of sins and receive the gift and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, manifesting through spiritual gifts and boldness in sharing the gospel of the kingdom of God.(Acts 1:5, 2:1-4,38)
We believe that the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus is not an option but a commandment for all believers to do.(Mt. 28:19-20) We believe that all believers are called to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons and raise the dead in His name.(Mk. 16:15-18)
We believe that Divine Healing is the manifestation of God’s power to heal the sick (mind & body) and that healing for everyone is included in the atoning sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the will of God for all believers to minister healing to anyone at any time.(Isa. 53:5, Mk. 16:18, Jam. 5:15-16)
We believe that all believers are called to live a pure and holy life,(1Pet. 1:15-16) and that the grace that we received from our loving God should not be used as a license to do sin but a tool that teaches us to say no to anything that is unholy and abomination in God’s eye.(Tit. 2:11-12)
We believe that all believers are called to have fellowship as one Church (Body of Christ) for teaching, giving encouragement, breaking of bread and sharing. We believe that having fellowship is vital to a believer’s growing in knowledge and understanding God’s Word, character and service towards God and His people.(Acts 2:42, Heb. 10:25)
