Gospel (Matthew 14:22-33): Jesus walks on the stormy sea to reach the frightened disciples. Peter walks on water but begins to sink when he fears the wind, prompting Jesus to catch him and calm the storm.

Commemorating the World Day of Prayer for Grandparents and the Elderly, Rev. Fr. Jerick Asdang blessed the grandparents and the elderly present at mass honoring Sts. Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus whose feast we traditionally celebrate every 26th of July.

The LORD was pleased that Solomon made this request.
So God said to him:
"Because you have asked for this—
not for a long life for yourself,
nor for riches,
nor for the life of your enemies,
but for understanding so that you may know what is right—

The Solemnity of Corpus et Sanguis Christi (Latin for "Body and Blood of Christ") is a major feast day in the Catholic Church. Officially named The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, its sole purpose is to honor and celebrate the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

This solemnity affirms the Catholic belief in the mystery of the Eucharist, where the bread and wine offered become the real body and blood of Jesus Christ, which is the sacrifice of Christ on the cross sacramentally made present and offered anew for the "forgiveness of the sins we daily commit" (CCC 1366).

Your God awaits you in the Blessed Sacrament. Come in adoration before His presence.
