Today, we joyfully celebrate the 18th Sacerdotal Anniversary of our beloved Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Mario B. Holmina, OSJ.

Thank you, Fr. Mario, for your years of faithful service, guidance, and love for the community of San Francisco de Asis Parish. Your dedication and humility continue to inspire us in our journey of faith.

May God continue to bless your priestly ministry with strength, wisdom, good health, and more years of service to His people.

𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐆𝐊𝐊𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡, 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐤𝐩𝐚𝐧

San Francisco de Asis Parish formally commenced its Flores de Mayo observance today, May 4, 2026, with all 30 Gagmay’ng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKKs) simultaneously holding opening activities in their respective communities. Celebrations were conducted at varying schedules, with some GKKs beginning in the morning and others in the afternoon, reflecting both the diversity and unity of the parish.

Flores de Mayo, a longstanding Filipino Catholic tradition observed throughout the month of May, is marked by daily offerings of flowers, prayers, and Marian devotions in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The practice highlights the faithful’s expression of reverence and their continued reliance on Mary’s intercession.

𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Eighty-nine delegates from San Francisco de Asis Parish, representing its five zones and 30 GKKs, actively participated in the First Archdiocesan Music Ministry Convention of the Archdiocese of Davao held on April 25, 2026 at the Regional Major Seminary, Catalunan Grande, Davao City.

Composed of dedicated members of the parish’s music ministry including instrumentalists, choir members, cantors, and those responsible for preparing the line-up of liturgical songs during masses, the group embodied a shared commitment to deepen their understanding of sacred music and its vital role in the Holy Mass.

Their presence not only reflected the vibrancy and unity of the parish’s music ministry but also affirmed that their service goes beyond musical excellence, becoming a heartfelt offering of praise to God and a living expression of prayer through song.

Ang Santos nga Misa gipangulohan ni Rev. Fr. Mario B. Holmina, OSJ, ang kura paroko, nga naghatag og lawom nga pagpanudlo mahitungod sa kahulogan sa pagtrabaho uban ang pagtuo ug integridad, subay sa ehemplo ni San Jose.

Sa iyang homiliya, iyang gipasiugda nga ang matag buluhaton mahimong halad sa Diyos kung buhaton uban sa gugma ug pagkamatinud-anon.

Ang malampusong selebrasyon sa ika-16 nga GKK fiesta bunga sa kooperasyon ug paningkamot sa mga sakop sa GKK ug lain-laing ministeryo, ubos sa liderato sa ilang PSK nga si Elpedio Cafe o Tatay Ondoy. Siya mismo miyembro usab sa Caballeros de San Jose sa parokya, nangulo sa mga pagpangandam nga naglangkob sa espirituhanong pagpangandam, dekorasyon, ug organisasyon nga may kalambigitan kay San Jose.

Dugang pa, nagkalain-laing kalihokan ang gipahigayon isip kabahin sa selebrasyon, lakip na ang panagtapok human sa misa nga naghatag og kahigayonan sa panaghiusa ug panag-ambitay sa komunidad. Ang matag miyembro aktibong mipartisipar, nga nagpakita sa lig-on nga pagtinabangay diha sa GKK.

Ang ika-16 nga kapistahan sa GKK Santuario de San Jose dili lamang usa ka tradisyonal nga selebrasyon, kondili usa ka pagpamatuod sa buhing pagtuo sa katawhan, nga nagpadayon sa pagsunod sa ehemplo ni San Jose: mapinanggaon, matinud-anon, ug masaligon sa kabubut-on sa Diyos.

Gisugdan kini pinaagi sa usa ka Holy Hour sa alas 4:00 sa hapon, ug gisundan sa Santos nga Misa nga gipangulohan sa Parochial Vicar nga si Rev. Fr. Euricho Raphael A. Maralit, OSJ, kauban si Rev. Fr. Mario B. Holmina, OSJ, ang Kura Paroko.

Giprusisyon ang imahen ni San Jose palibot sa sulod sa simbahan tungod sa naglain nga panahon.

Ang maong kalihukan gipangunahan sa bag-ong tukod nga Artisans of Saint Joseph, nga mao ang mga kanhing miyembro sa Joseph Marello Youth.
