𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗼 𝗫𝗜𝗩

Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical letter, Magnifica Humanitas, means “Magnificent Humanity.” It focuses on protecting human dignity in the age of artificial intelligence.

The message is simple: technology should serve people, not replace them. AI can be useful, but it must always respect human life, human work, human conscience, and the common good.

As Catholics, we believe every person is made in the image and likeness of God. No machine or system can take away the value of a human being. This encyclical reminds us to use technology with wisdom, responsibility, and love.

Magnifica Humanitas calls us to ask: Is our progress helping people, protecting the vulnerable, and building peace? Or is it creating more confusion, inequality, and harm? In the end, Pope Leo XIV reminds us that true progress is not only about smarter technology. It is about a more humane world, where every person is respected, protected, and loved.

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, when Jesus, after His Resurrection, was taken up into Heaven and seated at the right hand of the Father.

The Ascension reminds us that Jesus did not leave us behind. He opened the way to Heaven, continues to intercede for us, and calls us to carry His mission into the world.

As we celebrate this solemnity, may we be renewed in faith, strengthened in hope, and inspired to live as witnesses of Christ’s love.

Christ has ascended. Christ reigns. Christ is with us always.

The Davao Archdiocesan Youth Coordinating Apostolate (DAYCA) Media Team attended the seminar organized by the Archdiocesan Commission on Social Communications in celebration of the 60th World Communications Sunday, with the theme “Preserving Human Voices and Faces,” held at the Bapa Benny Tudtud Auditorium, Ateneo de Davao University.

The seminar discussed the role of Artificial
Intelligence in communication and evangelization. It highlighted the importance of using media responsibly, keeping the human touch in storytelling, and promoting truth and ethics in today’s digital world.

𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮

On this day, we remember how the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, bringing a message of prayer, repentance, conversion, and peace.

Mama Mary reminds us that true peace begins when we turn our hearts back to God. She invites us to pray the Holy Rosary, offer sacrifices with love, and trust in God’s mercy.

As we celebrate this feast, may we follow Mary’s example of faith, humility, and obedience. May her motherly love guide us closer to Jesus and inspire us to live each day with hope, compassion, and a sincere desire to do God’s will.

Let us ask Our Lady of Fatima to intercede for our families, our parish, our community, and the whole world.
