Day 2 of the Southern Mindanao Ignacian Marian Bonding Year 4 unfolded as a beautiful journey of faith, unity, and mission, as participants gathered with hearts anchored on the theme: “Ignacian Marian Pilgrims: Stirred to Love, Called to Serve, and Bearers of Hope.”
The day began with a meaningful Body Prayer Exercise facilitated by the delegates of Pilar College of Zamboanga, grounding everyone in gratitude and mindfulness. Through movement and reflection, the Ignacian Marian pilgrims were reminded that prayer is not only spoken but lived through the body, mind, and spirit.
The morning session deepened with an inspiring keynote talk on “Deepening Synodality and Discernment: Youth’s Responsibility for the Common Good.” Mr. Miguel Karlo Abadines, Executive Director of Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan, challenged the youth to become active contributors to the Church and society. With the guidance of SK youths’ companion “Kampyon ang Kabataan” — Dave John Renoy and Sid Cesar Almario — participants reflected on their vital role in championing servant leadership, collaboration, and social responsibility.
In the afternoon, the spirit of synodality was put into action through outreach activities to various agencies. As Synodal Pilgrims of Hope, the delegates reached out to the less privileged and those in need, embodying Christ’s compassion and becoming living witnesses of hope in their communities.
The day’s spiritual highlight was the Anticipated Holy Mass for February 15, 2026 (Sunday), presided over by Rev. Fr. Paul John Banaybanay, DCT. The celebration of the Eucharist strengthened the community’s shared mission — to be stirred by love and sent forth to serve.
And as night fell, hearts were set ablaze during “Hearts Ablaze: A Night of Worship and Praise” — The FEAST Tagum Praise and Worship. Voices united, hands lifted high, and spirits renewed, the Ignacian Marian family celebrated God’s unwavering love through joyful praise and thanksgiving.
Indeed, Day 2 was more than a series of activities — it was a powerful encounter of faith in motion. Stirred to love, called to serve, and sent as bearers of hope, the Southern Mindanao Ignacian Marian pilgrims continue their journey, united in mission and strengthened in spirit.
