Abide in the Lord

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." — John 15:5

In a world that constantly tells us to "hustle harder" and "make it happen" on our own strength, Jesus gives us a much simpler invitation: just stay connected.

A branch doesn't struggle or stress to grow fruit; it simply stays attached to the vine and lets the life-source do the work. When we "abide"—when we sit at His feet, talk to Him throughout the day, and rest in His love—the fruit of peace, joy, and purpose happens naturally.

Gratitude isn't just for what He gives; it’s for the fact that we never have to walk (or work) alone. Today, I'm choosing to stop the striving and start the abiding. 🌿✨

A Reason for Gratitude

Life has a way of getting loud, doesn’t it? Between the endless to-do lists and the "what-ifs" that keep us up at night, it’s easy to feel like we’re drowning in noise. But Philippians 4:6-7 offers us a different rhythm.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

The beauty of this promise isn't just that we can ask for help—it’s the with thanksgiving part. Even when the answer hasn't arrived yet, gratitude shifts our focus from the size of our problems to the scale of our Provider.

Today, I’m choosing to trade my "what-ifs" for "even-ifs." Even if things aren’t perfect, there is peace to be found. 🕊️

Today we explored the life-changing result of abiding in Truth. When we know the Truth, the chains of the past are broken, and we are free to become like that 'well-watered garden' promised in Isaiah 58:11. Freedom feels like a spring that never runs dry!
